Blockchain.com wallet shows no funds and transactions...

Late 2015 I created a BTC wallet using blockchain.info (now blockchain.com)
I sent approx. 0.3. BTC to this wallet. All fine.
Backed up the seed and made a walet.aes.json file and backed that up too.

Lost my laptop and never looked back, until a few months ago. I havethe wallet.aes.json file, the BTC wallet identifier and my password.
Logged in blockchain.com wallet using my wallet ID and password, all fine!
However, NO funds are shown and NO activity at all. I am pretty sure I didnt import addresses in my wallet, I just bought some BTC and send it to my wallet.
Tried to import wallet.aes.json and decrypt it using the special legacy page of blockchain.com wallet. This went fine too.
Blockchain.info then generated a new wallet ID after importing and decrypting the wallet.aes.json file.
Logged in in this new wallet, but... still 0.0000 BTC.

I feel I can't use blockchain.info wallet to see my funds. I HAVE the wallet.aes.json and my original password, everything should be in there right? Is there an other way to retrieve my funds and send them wherever I like?

So, the most possible to happen of your funds is this, while you lost your laptop someone got access your funds on that device if you mean lost my laptop is literally lost.

Or if you're sure that you sent your 0.3 btc to your blockchain wallet, as you said you imported your seed, try to see if there are outgoing transaction of 0.3 btc from one of your wallet address. If there's no record then there's a possibility that you save a different combination of recovery seed. And even the .json file which I guess is less to happen

I've seen a lot of people having an issue going from the old blockchain to the new one. I've never tried this tool but I've seen someone suggesting it in Reddit so you may want to give it a try: https://github.com/prof7bit/wallet-key-tool/releases with the password, you should be able to read that file.

I lost my laptop yes, but it actually never left my house, so it seems

I wrote down the seed but I never used the seed to enter my wallet.
I didn't have too either because I knew my password and I am able to access my wallet just fine.

Blockchain.info (.com now) states that imported addresses are not backed up by the mnemonic phrase but it never mentions the wallet.aes.json file there. Although I am almost 100% sure that I did not import any address in my wallet, I "might" have done it because I didn't was into BTC and wallets back then.

Regarding the transaction history / activity. well, I just see one BTC address there and there is no activity at all on that address...

My only hope is that there are in fact addresses and private keys in that wallet.aes.json file. I will definitely try out the tool you mentioned.

Pretty sure that warning only applies to their new wallet now (HD wallet) but in your case, you've used a legacy wallet which seed didn't contain any private keys back then.

Did you ever view it on the block explorer or just in your wallet interface? And where did you find that address? Go to Settings > wallets and addresses > and check which category does it belong to, Is it on bitcoin wallet, imported or archived?

Also, can I ask where did you bought your bitcoin? if its its from an exchange/company, you most likely used an email acc where they sent some verifications and confirmations. If you can still access that email account, you could try searching those emails from them, maybe you can find the address where you sent it and check in the block explorers if someone moved them or nahh.

It would be more better if you do post up your wallet address so that we would able to check it out.

Its quite odd where you do have that json.file and with seed on that blockchain.info wallet but in the time you have imported it where it shows 0 balance.

it's pre-2016, so it's a legacy blockchain.info wallet account just like Potato Chips mentioned
any chance you remember the address you used to send or receive that amount? check your email, exchange account and etc
even a txid could shed some light, so that you can trace and check its balance on block explorer

if indeed the 0.3 BTC transaction was made and received/confirmed, then all you need is in that walet.aes.json file
just shooting in the dark, it could be a simple uncompressed/compressed private key problem
I've seen this before when bc.info wallet is displaying a compressed key for an uncompressed (legacy) address
