It's normal don't worry almost a year we all suffering for the bitcoin price falling down their price value, nothing new for this because for me 2018 is bitcoin correction hoping early next year bitcoin will moves in good condition.

Indeed, that price fluctuations today wasn't that bad compared of what happened last middle months of 2017. The situations is not worst yet, we still have more challenging times to move forward with btc and if trading will always be our ways to do it, then continue and don't give up holding more coins. If we will see the price is recovering before next year until such time the last days of 2018 must perform surprising demands, so be it.

I actually have no idea why BTC tanked around $1000 today.

In the past there was usually some reason like hacked exchange or ETF rejection/delay or China ban.

After research I can only come up with 2 reasons. First one was some over leveraged longs on OKEx, basically similiar to what happened a few months ago with that half a billion liquidated position.

Second one is Craig Wright saying he really is Satoshi and he will sell all his BTC to fund miners to mine SV instead of ABC and SV.

I think the former makes more sense to me.

It's hilarious to see how people react if the cryptocurrency market is in the bearish phase and bullish phase.

If the market is in the bullish trend, people will come to beg and regret because they do not bought their favorite crypto when it was cheap. If the bearish market comes, lots of people are now in panicking because their portfolio is in a bloodbath which leads them to a unplanned selling.

It is scary but if you have been in the market in the last year you have experienced such things a lot , I think bitcoin would fall more because of the new miner that has a better mining hash with almost same price , I believe bitcoin is going to 4000 $ channel soon .
