The reviews of this rig are generally very good.

I am wondering why there is a lack of trust in this seller?

I am wondering why there is a lack of trust in this seller?

This is a good question. I don't feel like looking up the thread at the moment, but my observation on the last thread posted for "free trials" is that the majority of the posters who trialed seemed to not receive any results and there seemed to be a lack of knowledge on the teams comprehension of pool requirements in terms of configuration.

It isn't clear why or what happened.

It just makes me wary, personally.

well it is a good unit and bittawm reviewed it.

I asked suchmoon to pull the negative and he did not said he was busy.  So for now I would say it probably is okay to buy it.

You could ask such moon why he kept the negative even though I asked for it to be pulled and it got a clean review .

Maybe such moon has more info that I am not aware of.

Yes I saw that review and a few others that were positive.

I would like to see the price on the F1's come down a few dollars. If it did I would definitely buy a few but $2500 is a bit rough considering the current crypto environment at present.

If you don't mind Philip, please ask such moon about the negative once again? If there is something bad then we should all be made aware.

I have two of them, but because of my newbie status my words wont matter much. 3 days after I placed my order they shipped, took 7 days total to get to me. Miners took 5 mins to setup have have been rock solid. Much better then my BCUS that have yet to ship lol. They have this promotion thing going on right now where you can get 100$ off electricity costs for hosting or shipping. You can PM me if you want more info or to use my code. Not trying to shill their product. Once they have their SDK open and 3rd parties could make bitstreams for it, it will be more valuable.

While I don't do "videos" like Vosk, I would like to at least assume I have a reasonably good reputation from the Zseries unit folk... and I have a couple of machines on loan to me for firmware development purposes.

@Hashaltcoin, this is out on a limb, but if you'd like to loan a unit out, I'll happily do a review, see if we have any overclocking options, and share the results.

I don't want to be a "naysayer" just because what I see on the outside.

PM me if so, and no harm no foul if not.

Your words definitely matter. I appreciate your candid review.

I agree with efudd that the free trial was probably misunderstood and mishandled and so then misreported.

its a pretty great product, standalone, just need a solid psu, i grabbed two hp 1200w. no bs watercooling to setup, or crazy loud air cooling. Resale wise not much else your going to do with it though, but at 1.44usd at .1c a kwh us a day it'll be profitable for a while. Still a gamble, and with cheaper FPGAS coming in 2019 with the same BEP it will hopefully continue to drive prices down.

This is the reason for the negative trust:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4911943.msg44383422#msg44383422

In my opinion the trust system on this website is complete bullshit.  I'm guessing at some point in the history of this forum it served a very useful purpose, but at least since I've been coming here (a year and a half)  I've seen it widely used to air out petty complaints.  It blows my mind that someone can come on here and sell a legitimate product (not to mention one that other companies can't seem to ship) and their reputation is tarnished because of "Claims to have developed a magic miner, weasels out of providing any proof of such."   Sad that Suchmoon can be judge, jury, and executioner without having a clue about what hes rating.

(normally I'd trim quotes, but I think the history of this quote is useful for posterity).

Yeah, I agree with you on the "trust" system. I've personally ignored it so far. I'll also admit that I'm glad no one challenged me day-one on my firmware with the Z-series units -- I know I wouldn't not have responded well (personal hubris) and likely would have just walked away (risk aversion). Rephrased: It's hard to "break in" to the crypto crowd.

Flipside - I've been approached by numerous folk in private with "opportunities" around customizing firmware and... I would say that I've been reminded that trust is to be earned, not given. My observation is many want to  take advantage either as a seller or an end user. I don't want to take over this thread with my personal stories....

If this is a real product with real capabilities, then I wish them the best.

From a personal perspective, $2500 is a lot in this bear market. I cannot fathom what their COGS really are, but if it is a lot less than $2500, I think I would price down to earn customers for the long run to mitigate the perceptual risk for a new entrant.

Well thanks guys, I got my questions answered in a very nice way. Miners are definitely the salt of the earth  Smiley.

I'm pleased that this is such an active forum and a bit saddened that the threads move off the first page so fast as to escape attention. It seems like a lot of the posts are individuals or companies promoting products and continually bumping their own posts to the top of the list, forcing others off the page.

yeah I actually think this is a decent piece of gear.  I don't have time to push but I will ask suchmoon again to lift the negative.

I sent a pm to suchmoon just now.

I can do that, but I'm not ordering until they are back in stock to be shipped. Way too many issues with the hosting at the moment
