This is in direct response to the market yesterday and XRP was the first to start picking up again after the crash, even though a lot of people are in huge losses already. But as we all know, XRP's occupation of the no. 2 spot is only temporary

Happened a few times recently that XRP passed ETH's market cap - however it always went back to normal and in general - imho it's a shame that this centralized shitcoin (XRP) got one of the highest market caps of all cryptocurrencies.

there is no difference between XRP and ETH, they are both centralized altcoins with no real usages which have an unlimited supply and will decline in the long run!

This is not the first time that this things happened where XRP took the no.2 spot on the marketcap. It will be short lived because per experience eth will bounced back after a correction as they call it.

Expect change, as it is the only permanent thing in this world.

My exact same thoughts. Market cap means nothing especially when losses are the order of the day, no one is looking at that in that instance. XRP is no.2, has it any impact on the losses you experienced yesterday?? In a industry where market manipulation is prevalent, these rankings mean nothing.

Are you panicking right now? XRP being #2 in the charts doesn't change anything other than the perceptions of the newbies who think that one coin is better than the other just because it's higher in the charts...so, who cares?

What can we expect? Nobody has the answer for that but, for now, don't anything stupid like selling your coins, on the contrary, if you can then buy some more coins and increase your stash, there are some great bargains out there.

I don't know much about Ripple but it says on coinmarketcap that there's a circulating supply of 40 billion and max supply of 90 billion. Last year it peaked at $3 if Bitcoin reaches an ATH in the next years to come $5 is achievable for XRP.

Yes ethereum surrendered its position. Ripple stepped on his heels which is not surprising to me. Ripple many times ranked second in the capitalization rating and returned to the same place.
