Why crypto-faucets NOW pay so little?
all current year the price of bitcoin lower than the price of BTC at the end of last year
Last year at this time with a bitcoin rate above $ 9000, the taps paid much more !!

here look at this for example: historical data

11/28/2017

Pay attention to the price of Bitcoin!

and now we have about 8 satoshi in 5 minutes + short links miners and a lot of advertisements.

what does it mean?

why pay so little?

WHY?

If you check my faucets, you'll see they are actually paying more now than last year. This due to optimizations making it possible to increase the revenue share.
See the sig. for links...

Also less ads and miner free.

Don't just short links, ezLink them!

Maybe you should try to run faucet and then you will see why they pay so low rewards. You can not pay big rewards if your income is low, and rewards can not be same when BTC is 6000$ and 1000$, this is something which should be quite logical thing.

You are also look at wrong faucets, there is some which pay 50 satoshi per hour, but also some that pay 30 satoshi every 5 min. There is not too much such let's say high paying faucets, but if you check my faucet list you will surely find some very interesting Wink

Well, there are many faucets which paying more than 8 Satoshi. I saw many faucets giving 15-20 Satoshi every 5 minutes. I don't think it's bad reward.
And I'm sure that most of faucet owners paying as much as they afford to pay. But it's difficult to have high rewards. First of all, some big advertising networks like Coinzilla or Cointraffic stopped accepting faucets, other networks don't have such big rates. So, now faucet owners are forced to have shortlinks, miners, popups and other annoying type of ads to keep their faucets alive. And many faucets struggling to attract enough traffic to their website, so they don't get enough income from ads to keep decent rewards. Lucius said very well, you can try to run your own faucet and you will see how difficult this job is.

I’m glad I didn’t have to be the one saying it, but it’s absolutely true. Faucets are running on very slim margins in general.
And who’s paying only 8 satoshi? I’m sure there are faucets paying more than me but I’m paying out multiples of that amount...
