For ICO investments to be more competitive and profitable, we need a new ICO model. This present ICO model is not progressive in nature and it gives room to all forms of manipulation from project owners. We need a model that gives investors rights in decision making of a project, we need a system that will made project team to be accountable. With a new ICO model, investors right will be protected and even secondary buyers will be excited to buy the coin or token on exchange once they know that the project will not be a fly by night project or a slow dying projects.

It sounds difficult. If every investor has the right to decide, it sounds like a vote by shareholders. If so, then most probably the most loyal holder is the publisher. It is no different than the normal project ...

very difficult to solve this problem. each project must have the difference offered. but when talking about investors who are given more rights I think it will be difficult to solve because the crypto channel has similarities in the system between investors and others are not given many privileges other than the bonuses given when investing

We need protection for investors and participants in bounty campaigns (they invest their time in the project). People need to be sure that their money will not be stolen. A mechanism is needed to remove fraudsters from ICO.

Yes, I completely agree with your opinion. This is the task of the regulator. That is why standards and rules for ICO are being developed. Now investors are not protected from failure. No one wants to risk it. And therefore, investments in projects at the ICO stage have been significantly reduced.

Vitalik Buterin and his team come with the new ICO model - Reversal ICOs. This will be more safe solution for ICO investors, if ICO do not achieve plans, investors will receive their money.

The current ICO projects are created and use ideas from previous projects. Most ICO projects do not have real products, and they are only interested in making a profit for themselves and Try to meet the expectations that investors expect. The current ICO model has too many shortcomings, and it needs to change.

You are right about your suggestion, but you didn't mention the new model and how it is going to work, maybe if you can draft such a new model and post it, most people will start using it. So i will suggest you draft the new model and make available.

In fact, all the ICOs are going down  below ico price as soon as it gets listed on it's first exchange, is it a coincidence? I do not think so, the market is following the same pattern everytime.

What if they improve a little bit, if we do things by a different way? maybe that is the only way in that we are going to see a change after that.

But no one knows what can happen, i won't invest on icos during this year anymore.

Most of the projects created for quick money making. 90% of projects do not need such large sums as they ask. 90% of altcoins are garbage and are created only to enrich their owners.  The ICO market will regain confidence only after the arrival of regulators.

We can't deny the fact that developers are abusing on making projects or using ICO to scam people and in crypto it is very hard to regulate that kind of scenario. Government intervention would really help on minimizing these abuses but it would also defeat the purpose of crypto which is decentralization. For now, it would be safe if you would invest only on the top coins and avoid ICOs pending those requirements you mentioned above.

The idea is good because it has somehow an assurance if something is not right during the creation of project. But I doubt about it because this is business, by simply means owner must be able to gain profits than the users.

Actually that should be it. Investors being protected from the start. Who else would just throw away their money without even knowing what they are going into? That is a fools decision.
But it will also be better if they meet halfway. Right now it is just investors who needs to go through resesrch just to find out whether an ICO is a scam or not.

Scams will always be there but that is right we should help each other to throw them away and let the good ones stay where investors will just need to pick what feature of an ICO best suits them.

I think the ICO is becoming worse without positive change. I hope that it needs a real change that will make things better and break the existing ones. The blockchain is the backdrop for the future, but it currently offers too few real-world applications.

I think there is no need for different model but for improvement of the existing one. ICO sector need regulation

What is the main problem of the existing model? I personally do not like fraudulent projects, but it is often not the fault of the model, and the people and my not good enough analysis.

you can't change the fact that ICOs are useless and investing in them is a big gambling game. so no matter what you come up with, in the end ICOs will remain the same useless tokens that get pumped and dumped a little before they die and many of them fail in their infancy as more people realize how bad they are and how risky like a gamble these things are.
