Getting scammed the first time you see your foot in something having to do with money leaves a bad mark, and No matter the preaching, advices, your mind just never changes. No regrets in this side but I am somehow loosing the patience.

I only regret that at the moment I REALLY discovered bitcoin I was getting a mortgage and my wife would have murdered me if I took that amount of fiat into crypto instead

Right, I'm also a person who is grateful because Bitcoin has greatly improved my life financially. Everyone does have a different level of fortune and that fate depends on how one lives and determines his choices in everything in their lives. So that is true, as long as we are able to research deeper and it is not easy to believe in the sweet promise that maybe it is a scam trap, then if we can avoid that, then maybe we will be one step luckier than those who are not careful.

I have never regretted or I don't think I will someday regret joining Bitcoin. Bitcoin is more than just investing, it presents you with financial freedom and privacy. Interesting question, I know. For me personally the answer is no - I have not ever regretted having gotten into bitcoin, despite having spent hundreds and hundreds of hours researching the topic.  It's always been an interesting ride.

But I have a friend who got scammed and he regrets having had anything to do with crypto in the first place. It's pretty sad but there's nothing I can do about it. I even offered giving him half of the amount he lost from my own crypto stash (mind you I am not rich) but he's so scared that he's not interested any longer...

For me, NO, being on bitcoin is an opportunity for me, being in the community helped me in many different ways, well, I can't blame anyone for regretting more likely for those who invested on the peak of the coin, it's almost a year since the downtrend and losing value of coins is very disappointing.
I hope they won't lose hope from being here, things will work fine if they will stay here for long.

But i had a lot of money tied up for pure speculation and that i now regret after this latest crash. I know it will take forever just to get back to $7k.
Probably just gonna HODL until i get back to break even (if that ever happens) then bail

the answers will be very diverse from many members here especially after the occurrence of great losses, regret is always present in every human being for various reasons. and specifically for beginners should know in advance every risk if involved in the crypto industry.

Through bitcoin, I already have a house and have a car, and have savings that I think are quite large. So there is no reason for me to regret entering Bitcoin. It is very unfortunate on your friends side but putting myself in his shoes, it would have been very disappointing but besides that, bitcoin is fun and just as he lost within a short time, he could also gain massively within another short time if he had not given up. I have also lost on a number of occasions but in total, my losses are not closer to my gains. Being into bitcoin is very interesting and I never regret getting involved.

Actually, I have a little regret about the BITCOIN. I never did think it will become like this. Unfortunately, it happened. Yes, that is my regret too, I should have invested more in BTC, however now I'm not sure yet if it's a good time to buy again. Some people have their reasons to regret about their investment in Bitcoin because the currently scenario in the market of Crypto-Currencies, it's understandable, but I hope you are right and that Bitcoin's story is just on its beginning, and those who are regretting about their investments now can change their minds in the future.

After I joined countless internet opportunities and lost money everywhere, bitcoin was my first online success.

I just regret because of 2 things.
First, because I didn't join earlier.
Second, I sold some of my bitcoin to early.
