Catching the falling knife is better than hitting it against your trades in such market conditions. Dropped values have some consequences like less volatility and low volatility doesn't let to trade properly in market.

I have been saying this for months. I know markets seem incredibly low right now but the point of discussion should not be how it dropped but how low it is. Yeah you can focus on the prices dropping, the market being bear and than feel sad about how it used to be great.

Moreover, that would only mean you will miss the fact that those same bear markets you are sad about gave you coins that is far cheaper than you initially intended. You got bitcoin at 20 thousand dollars ? Well, I am sorry to hear that but you thought it was a good idea to buy bitcoin at 20 thousand dollars so you must think it is perfect that bitcoin went do 5 thousand dollar levels since it is quarter the price you should be happy to see that and get even more this time. Same with alts, if you were happy to see ethereum over a thousand dollars than you must be crazy to think eth is now 180 or something and you should get a lot more.

I don't know whether I am someone like that or not because even though I understand that the decline in bitcoin prices is natural, but I was devastated when I learned that bitcoin and ethereum could experience deep falls, the reason is because bitcoin and ethereum have a big impact on the market so I feel disappointed because the crypto value that I have has dropped and the impact is not only on crypto values, but also on my work because I am a hunter bounty and when the market falls, investor interest in ico goes down and it causes a lot of ico to fail and I don't get any results

I think the whole ICO market has changed a lot from what it was at the beginning and right now is extremely difficult to make profit out of it. That's because nowadays there are hundreds of new ICOs and most of them are scams, that don't even get to the point where they launch their coin on the market. I think it is better to stay away from ICOs and concentrate more on bitcoin and altcoins that already have a good reputation, meaning the chance of losing your money by getting scammed is very low.

Alt dropping will give opportunieties only for people who want to buy it, Because some people already know altcoin is drop but they dont want to invest. Or sometime people want to invest but dont have side funds. This is dilemma, especially for people who only income at crypto

It's a tough decision for us if we want to risk our money but it doesn't a loss for us if we only invested those potential altcoins just like of ETH, EOS XRP and some more cause all of this coins will surely recover after such fall unlike of the other which we couldn't really rely on them.

Apparently your right since some of the alts right now has no product to be shown and for few have they have lack of marketing support and that's why we see them drop so badly and I can't even withstand to look up with that, and better for my side to reach for those potential top coins rather than looking for another headache.

Sometimes a drop in the price of a particular altcoin indicates the downfall or the end of that coin. I invested in a coin when its price dropped from $0.70 to $0.30 with the hope of making huge profit if the price should go back to $0.70.  As at now, the coin is just worth $0.004 and i lost about $500 out of my initial investment.  Not every drop is an opportunity, some might be a death trap to your financial investment...

ICOs are no more profitable and the team always find the excuses for delaying the listing on the exchanges. Opportunities are not happening accidentally and dropped prices are no investment opportunity from my point of view. Same happened way back to 2014 bear market.

One thing I noticed about alts and BTC, if BTC is UP, Alts will go down. Alt holders will sway or shift to BTC and same goes when BTC is down, BTC holders will shift to Alts. Its seldom that both BTC and Alts price rise at the same time that's why if you plan to buy or invest in Alts, go for long term and choose the one with good people behind it and long term project.

But the thing is, some ICO coins are not that easily recovered and has a less demand, making their price hardly to pump up. But overall, that's the main reason why we are here. To look and watch for the coins to drop and then we invest.

I believe there are two sides. Coins those are down or dropped by more than 50% but are from good and genuine projects, definitely gives us an opportunity to buy more. When such coins are down and we buy more we can average the total buying cost and and can reduce the losses to some extent. If we are Long term investors then definitely it can give good returns over the time.
But the projects which are scam or projects whose development is not complete, I feel risky to buy more.
I see this is very challenging to identify such project.

Yes they gives opportunities, but this is only for altcoins with good use case not some hype coins with no value at all. Most altcoins are just worthless and just not worth Holding. So I think it is our due diligence is needed before investing in any altcoins now.

Altcoins price drops mostly because of the bitcoin price drops. I don't need to give much explaination about this. For me, it means that actually people, fans on any altcoins are relying to the Bitcoin. It also means that Bitcoin is THE ONLY coin that people believe.

If the drop happens with promising coin and it can go back later but the problem is the performance of the company just like speculation. That's even happened in my life. Investing in the coin that drastically dropped anytime.
