Note: This is a self-moderated thread, with the only intention to reduce the spam, so everything that I consider as a spam will be removed.

So this is not a FUD intended thread, as I don't really trust Craig Wright.
But I'm more curious about is it just a FUD-spreading sh!t he is doing here or he is referring to a specific problem (probably exaggerated)?

Here is the link to the interview.

As you said, that guy is not to be trusted, the way he's talking with is clearly not a way someone who created something as bitcoin would talk with, he's not driven by passion but by greed.

I'm pretty sure he's talking nonsense. If there were such a flaw that could destroy bitcoin, with this big community we have, it would've been found by now so yeah, pretty much spreading FUD.

That dude sure has a lot of hashpower that he can use. But would it be enough to affect bitcoin(BTC)? Probably not.

Another thing, even though he sure talks a lot of crap, him claiming bitcoin having a "fatal flaw" is still somewhat worrying though(for me, at least), even though the likeliness is probably quite small. The chances of bitcoin having a sort of "fatal flaw" is still non-zero.

If Roger Ver, a pioneer in bitcoin and has a vast knowledge regarding its ins and outs, questions Craig Wright's knowledge on the technicalities and intricacies of several aspects of their (SV) implementation, why would I even trust the guy based on my own knowledge about it? And no, what Ver stated isn't an attack to Wright due to the hash wars, but he noticed this a while back while they are still in good terms. But to think that Wright has a lot of hash power on his arsenal, he can, at will, toy with bitcoin and BCH just to prove a point, but that doesn't make him any smarter by pointing a 'flaw' that developers and the community have overlooked in years of developing bitcoin.

Of course, bitcoin is far from perfect, but then again it has managed to withstand several conflicts and crashes on its almost 10 years of existence. Bitcoin is far from being over, and most of the community have already called out Wright for whatever he's doing to the cryptosphere right now.

We keep seeing different things these days and is really difficult to know which is real and fake.  This time is bad for bitcoin and cryptocurrency so many people are trying to make a bit out of this and come out to show some shines just for everyone to see and hear.  I can't just trust this.

This is the same Dr. Craig Wright he repeatedly claims to be Satoshi but never actually proves it, so my immediate thought to him claiming there's a big vulnerability that no one has thought of, is that once again he's talking out of his ass. Of course from my own knowledge I can't begin to know what's truth and what is not because I do not have anywhere near the understanding he or any other early adopters have.

I will say that I believe if there is something that can destroy bitcoin, it won't be something technical, but more of a social thing. Even any technical flaws can be ironed out and fixed, assuming that people still have the will to do so. Bitcoin will only end when no one believes in it any further.

Everything everyone says comes from a position of motivated self interest. I’ve seen statements from the most trusted founding pillars of bitcoin that end up being pure crap. Forum admin, devs, mining kingpins, business leaders and everyone in between all lie to protect their own best interest.

You need to ask yourself, “what does he have to gain”. Then you’ll know the truth.

In the last days faketoshi is very active and this is just to draw attention, in the case of the theme of his thread, faketoshi is desperate because he is not seeing a great support on the part of the community, people are not giving much importance to their actions, The guy do not like democracy, now is doing threat on twitter and is speaking badly about Lightning Network

Craig Wright: Lightning Network Has a “Major Flaw That Will Be Discovered Next Year”

has this article:

Op-Ed: Will Crypto Miners Abandon Craig Wright’s Bitcoin Cash Fork?

so you can see Faketoshi is losing and because of this he came back to attack bitcoin because his altcoin does not seem to have a very good future

Do not worry about what Faketoshi say

Yes, in fact, no one knows what will happen next with Bitcoin. Anyone who makes such predictions simply wonders, and at the same time they make smart faces and talk about their exceptional experience and knowledge. All this is nonsense. If this guy will say, "I'm ready to put all my money on the fact that Bitcoin will not cost anything by the end of 2019," I will really be ready to listen to his words. In the meantime, it's just the words of a man who does not risk anything by making his predictions.

Killing Lightning Network with a 51% Ignore attack

Hmm,

his words "BTC core is already dead, they just don't know it yet,
adding segwit enabled a fatal flaw and their won't be any btc this time next year."

There are issues with LN hubs having to register as money transmitters or even banks,
Miners can also ignore all segwit transactions killing LN.

But neither of those would kill BTC itself only LN.

It seems like he is trying to say is the addition of segwit itself has embedded a flaw that may allow all bitcoins to be stolen not just segwit in case of a miner revolution against it.

Or

He might just be bullshitting,  guess we'll find out by 2020.  Cheesy

I agree with you guys, especially QA.
This puts just other nail in the coffin of the testis that Wright is Satoshi.
I was on YouTube today listening to some analysis for the last BCC Fork, and suddenly a Ver video stated then I heard about the email Wright sent to Ver.
Omg, that was another nail in the coffin to Wright-Satoshi shit. And again, I could have prove it that I'm Satoshi but.. NO! HAHA
https://youtu.be/rFU1o-0oU7A?t=55

Just wonder how the hell he have so much of Hash power /or it's another Faketoshi lie/ as he stated that they gonna kill the ABC project.

craig wright is just a flop flop of social drama
contradicts himself, and just has a "fake it til you make it" mindset

but with that said.

LN is not a bitcoin payment system.
LN is a separate payment system for multiple coins.

now if the bitcoin network doesnt innovate the bitcoin network to be usable and cheap (i mean the actual bitcoin network).

people will deposit bitcoins into LN. play around on LN but not want to get BTC back(slow confirms, only ~2k tx per block, higher fee's than many countries min wage). people will instead want to exit LN via an altcoin thats cheaper and faster.

its exactly like 19th century gold.
deposit gold into a payment network.. play with unaudited receipts of 'promised'(but not guaranteed) ownership(old bank notes). and at the end take out copper brass nickel metals(pennys, quarters)

First of all, if one person can destroy a crypto-asset, then that crypto-asset is NOT supposed to exist in the first place.

Apart from this, is it very difficult to understand that this guy is an attention whore. First he claimed, he can sign a message with the address, where Genesis block was mined. He could not and vanished for some time. Now, he is back again with some moneyed friend, who are supplying him some hash power. With this new power he is drawing attention again and will most likely end up pimping for an Alt. I mean, most of the attention grabbing techno blabbers in Bitcoin space has done that so far.

As long as Satoshi's coins are not moving, why worry? Roll Eyes

Craig Wright is a bully. He wants others to think that he's Satoshi but does what Satoshi would never do. Tries to scare other coins that compete on an open market into submission, threatens people, calls other devs names. I once thought that Roger Ver is a pompous clown but Craig is much worse. You know what is funny? That most people don't care about his fork and think that it won't succeed. ABC's community is much bigger and it will show in value when we are able to trade SV on exchanges.

Just makes us believe in Bitcoin. Most big investors have greed for investing in Cryptocurrency. No fool would drop a piece of cake that would bring him a profit every day. You can see that Bitcoin is so easy to evaporate and greedy people use it to manipulate it for profit. A statement with no evidence just makes us believe in Bitcoin.

Faketoshi is IMHO clinically insane and one of the worst enemies of crypto. He has made it clear that he is willing to destroy BTC and BCH. His tone and content is so close to that of well known twitter troll Bitfinexed, that I would not be surprised if they were one and the same person.  Embarrassed

His psy-OP level FUD is vile and disgusting; I must say I have never felt more sympathy for his opponents Roger Ver and Jihan Wu.

Truth is the new hatespeech.

Saying that bitcoin is dead or will be dead, is just meaningless. There is definitively and provably zero possibility for bitcoin to die.

For a person whose original field of education is theology, saying such a crap is not shocking, what is wierd is this theologist being the same person who claims to be the genius who invented bitcoin! It is really an insane level of self-contradiction. How is it possible for the  inventor of bitcoin not to understand how immortal is the system? I mean it, how such a person claims both at the same time? He is high on something, I bet. Grin

you can't say "Craig Wright" and say what he is saying is not FUD. the two are synonyms!

as others said, this is for personal gains. and it is not the first time. the bitcoin market has always been emotional and acted as such too. that means with a big enough drama you can influence the market greatly.
google Mike Hearn, back in 2016 he went crazy and started FUDing bitcoin and caused a 25% drop like now.
from time to time they change the strategy of the FUD and create a new one to keep the effectiveness!
