IMO the bitcoin price will touch (or go closer) to the previous historical ATH (that is around ~1500), not directly but in due time. reasons for that are several but you may observe that there are several bad politics within the community and some ruthless players. that is before the real gangsters kick in (i.e. wall street in an official way). a lot of "old" capital has to be washed out before starting the new bull cycle again. it may do some temporary stops at 4500-5000 or 3000 but my buys would be set as low as i described. btc is a marathon and not a speed run. also take in mind that a lot of capital that is allocated in many many other non viable coins somehow has to go somewhere. my 2 cents.

i am always surprised about how you guys come up with these speculations!!! it is the early 2018 all over again when you were speculating price to drop to $3000 just because it was going down and wasn't able to break the $10k resistance at that time!!!

we just had a little drop here. it is not a reason to go down 50% and with a total of 85% drop overall just because you feel some panic...

I would not agree that it is a small drop, maybe for you 1000$ is small - but after months of stability this is in some way an indication in which direction BTC price could go. I am not saying we can go down to 3000$ easy, probably miners will not allow such a drop because they may lost profit - question is, can they prevent BTC price to slide down even more then than what is now.

how can this drop be any indication of the direction? was the drop from stable $200+ down to $150 an indication of the direction that bitcoin goes in? or was the drop from $450+ down to $320 an indication? or.... dozens of other cases of drops during stable phases of accumulation.
each drop had always had a reason, most of the times some big FUD about bitcoin being dead, some exchange getting hacked,...

Do you see in what direction price is going? For me this drop is indication that price is probably test more lower levels since 6000$ is easy broken, and 5000$ is very close. I do not understand why you comparing some events 3-4 years before with this one, for me it is not same thing.

I hate to say this, but the condition of the bitcoin market is indeed very bad. but I really appreciate investors if they want to hold and not contribute to the dump, of course it will make the market even better if done massively, I hope many people will stay calm so the market can get better again, I hope the price doesnt drop to $3k

Either of the two seems possible at the moment. Bitcoin falls down to below $5k and then it seems like the bears are not yet done. There is still a possibility that it would continue to go down or maybe, those who has the funds are just waiting for the time when the market seems like recovering again. The price now is cheap but there is a possibility that it would be more cheaper in the coming days or would be expensive so it would depend on your plan then as to how you would approach the market now so that you can take advantage of it.

The 3 thousand dollar looks a lot more closer right now compared to 10 thousand dollars. I still think both are quite possible considering people who have sold their bitcoins (the hash war dudes on bitcoin cash deal) will stop selling their bitcoins and as soon as the war is over people will see that bitcoin price is going up and when it goes up they will want to get it cheap in order to profit from the rise of the price which may affect the price a bit higher, instead of going back to 6 and a half thousand dollars it may go up to 10 thousand dollars, that's still a possibility.

However I think if this war continues and the volume stays low because of the war and people not wanting to get in during these times the price could go even lower to buy the fuel that allows this war to continue. Which one will happen first all depends on how long this war will go on.

I think it will not fall down to $3000, hopefully not because I don't see that it will fall down even more this year. Yes, a lot of us are expecting bitcoin to rise up by end of year but I don't also think it will take again like last year, maybe it was just around the average of $5000-$6000. That was the price I expected from September. I thought this was a bad year for bitcoin so I sold the bitcoin in August. Although I had a $ 433 loss but if held up to now, It seems I will lose more than $ 2000. I will wait until the BTC reaches $ 3,000 and I will buy it again.

Well, it appears the market is still bearish and the bitcoin is heading to $3000 not $10,000. It may likely go down below $3k the way market is going. I think the bitcoin price will reach $10,000 in the mid 2019 when the market is fully recovered.

I do not think that the price of Bitcoin will fall to $ 3,000 but it will not be able to rise to $ 10,000. I think at the end of the year it will reach $ 5,000-6,000.

Probably you do not know what you are thinking at this point. The market looks more closer to $3k right now, and there is no major support where we are right now than the support at $3k, so unless you are really just too optimistic or you are being hopeful you will get to see something like last year ending happening, there is really nothing much to expect to the upper side.

Probably, after the $3k, we might see a bounce, but that is something I possibly will leave with time. Bitcoin can be surprising though, but in this case, I really would not bother about the future, but bother more on how to keep accumulating more now.

Yes you are right to say that the price of bitcoin will not to fall to 3k $ at the end of the year 2018 because it is impossible, and moreover i am not agree with your second point that you say bitcoin will hit to reach 5k to 6k $ at the end of 2018 because 1000-2000$ is very low amount in the world of bitcoin to recover its value so i think at the end of the year bitcoin will reach 10,000usd very easily.

I really would not expect the same thing that happened last year to happen the same way this year, but at the same time it is the cryptocurrency market and it is bitcoin, so in a way, we might still get to see anything surprising coming into reality.
Nonetheless, at this stage the market is oversold, but there is no doubt we can stay in the oversold region for a while, and with the way things are going now, $3k looks more glaring as a bottom but I guess we might just have to wait and see.

Like it hit the bottom at $5800? Bitcoin likely hasn't bottomed out yet, there are still many tests for supports to come. $4200 could be the bottom but if TA holds true (it has done so so far) then there will be further dips to at least the $3000s
