Lord forgive me I've sinned and commented on an altcoin bounty campaign. In addition to a few other posts I can't seem to know how to stop it from showing up under my unreadreplies link. I don't even speak Hungarian.. I'd like to stop seeing these 4 posts popping up under : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=unreadrepliesI tried to check Unnotify, Unwatch, basically nothing works. Is there some other option I'm missing to completely turn off any notifications from these threads/stop them from constantly showing up under my unreadreplies? Thanks.

Nope! Also, I already unnotified myself from the threads, you can see it on the screenshot. I tried to edit my watchlist, but the topics in the upper pictures don't show up there.

Click on notify, not on watch/unwatch. It will show you a pop-up message same as attached below. Click OK then. It will work.

1. Notifications and Email
2. Uncheck Automatically watch topics after replying to them
3. Manually add topics to your watchlist
edit: All right, I agree that this is definitely a forum bug although watchlist works fine for me. I guess it's fucked up for some of you, which is quite unfortunate the least to say. Suppose all you can do is wait for the new software (whenever it is ready) because with the current/old version of the forum software this thing cannot be solved.

Is this enough to prove that there's a problem with these threads? https://puu.sh/C2Psn/68b85b97b7.webm1. Notifications and Email

3. Manually add topics to your watchlist
Nice try! Still not working :/ Extra edit : Please look at the screenshots above. The Ethereum ANN thread for example, is clearly unwatched, and with notifications off.

Yes, that's enough. I think you will not receive notification anymore. Please, confirm me if it works.I just have checked some old posts regarding this query and got the same solution.

Did you try going to edit watchlist, and removing the threads you wanted to? Or did you try going to the Updated topics page, and pressing the button on the top-right corner that says "Mark all messages as read"?

The Ethereum thread that shows up under that link, is not in my watchlist. (None of those 4 threads are.) Another screen : Marking as read will only fix it temporarily. I want these topics to never show up on that list anymore in the future.

I believe the OP is referring to the Show new replies to your posts. function. And like the OP I experience the same issue. Once I've posted somewhere there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of these threads in THAT list. Putting all threads I want to watch in the watchlist instead is not a viable option for this function, they are complementary. And I agree with OP, removing easily one thread from the "replies" list should be easy. Edit: I hope you are an alt for testing purposes on this thread...

I changed the title so people understand the issue better, maybe mods can fix this issue or something.

It's the issue from SMF. There's no way of getting rid of it. That's what I got from an older thread- I think the "ignore thread" mod of smf can be used for roughly the same purpose, but Theymos isn't willing to do any modifications before changing the whole thing.
I would install an "ignore thread" mod if I could, but I investigated this before and the existing mods don't work or are unsuitable for some other reason.
Sorry, I misunderstood your thread.

The quote is from 2012, we have a Merit system now, so I'm sure the technology for such a simple thing is probably here after 6 years. It's alright! I guess I'll have to live with it until maybe one of the mods notices this and forwards it. I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate that function.

Yeah that's what you'd think ,but this forum's software is old. Merit system was coded by theymos and Slickage together, from what I have heard. I am not quite sure if its possible to ignore the posts, after having read the post referred by S_therapist, only theymos would able to answer your question, because odds are mods might not be knowing either.

Solutions: 1) Ignore the boards in which these topics are from [I know you meant to only ignore the topics], then simply visit those boards with bookmarked links: - Downside: If you try to quote someone, you'll end up with the following error:
The post you are trying to quote either does not exist, was deleted, or is no longer viewable by you. 2) Delete your post on those topics.
I don't even speak Hungarian..
Delete " this" [1] post.
I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate that function.
Indeed but don't get your hopes up: #5 Ignore Topics - Previously suggested by " tinus42" (I do know the "Ignore Boards Preferences"). Adds the ability to ignore individual topics for the purposes of RecentPosts/Recent/UnreadReplies/Unread sections of SMF.
