The BTC crash is good news for Altcoins

The evidence supports the opposite theory, when the price of bitcoin crashed the price of all altcoins went down even faster and investors are not really looking to invest in many of the coins that exist in the market because they are afraid that most of those coins will go to zero, so while I can understand that people are looking for something positive about the bear market I simply cannot see it.

I don't think btc crash is good for alts. All alts will eventually be dragged down if the main coin, btc, that is paired almost every other coin with goes down as well.

it is true that btc manipulate other altcoin price but that doesnt mean if btc dumps a lot altcoin will go zero.Market has shifted a lot from previous year,it is not solely dependent on btc ,other major altcoin are gaining high liquidity so major altcoin will not be affected that much even if btc goes dumps.current position of bitcoin can help some altcoin to pump as it is best for them otherwise when btc will start to pump ,altcoin will affected i.e dump for a time then pump as btc gain.

What i believe is is reverse with what you saying, if bitcoin falling, then bad thing could also happen to the altcoin. cause up until today, what ever happen to bitcoin, it will always affecting the altcoin.

There are many other good options for the development of cryptocurrency, and not all of them are associated with the appreciation of Bitcoin. If you look at the cryptocurrency as a whole, then even the disappearance of Bitcoin can lead to the rapid development of cryptocurrency as a whole. That's right, and also don't forget that every other altcoin is "paired" with BTC in most people's minds. And I don't mean crypto enthusiasts or traders, but rather regular people who are only in the process of thinking on investing in this or that coin. Most of those people would abandon the idea of investing in any cryptocurrency if they saw Bitcoin crashed.

Trust me this is not exactly the case. The drop in the price of Bitcoin greatly affected altcoins. So you find a situation where alts that were bought at certain prices and because there was a drop in the price of BTC, the dollar doesn't reflect the amount it was bought

I think what OP means is that if there is a Bitcoin downtrend Altcoins with potential to grow are cheap and we can buy some of them and hoard. We all know that Altcoins are dependent to Bitcoin that is why when there is price drop of Bitcoin we can say that it is good news for Altcoin investors. As a bounty hunter I can always have tokens from the bounty programs and I can say that when there is BTC plummet my holding sucks though I get it all for free just by investing my time and effort so it is still good because I am still hoping for a bounce back.

It is apparently a good news because when we can see bitcoin crashes, the price of the altcoins were also affected so its a limited grab to buy the altcoins that are still on low price. It is a good news to altcoins.

The crash of BTC is both good and bad for new altcoins. It is good because, new projects that participate in their ICO now will be doing something with the present prices, which means a better chance of profit to investors in a good market run.
It is bad because the performance of a project's cryptocurrency price in exchanges may not be a true reflection of its value, and big dumps will happen to a lot of tokens or coins.

This is something that I have been thinking about, if bitcoin crashed and never recovered then it is likely I will not have much faith in this market, at that point what coin could take its place that is not a direct copy of bitcoin, and it is very likely that I am not the only person that thinks in that way so that could spell the destruction of the market of cryptocurrencies.

Right, we should accept the fact that the bull run might take longer as expected so everyone should prepare for the worst, or trade with caution and be flexible as well. But I disagree that it did good for the altcoin market because its evident that majority of the alts have suffered even worst than bitcoin.

BTC hasbeen crash more than 80 % from ATH,  and all altcoins  more than 90% . This is the biggest and long bearish market because some altcoin also was dumped to 99%. So BTC crash is not good for value of altcoin, because all altcoins will follow price action of Bitcoin,  and this is happening  since BTC and altcoin tradeable.
