Hello. While i was wandering through the threads and topic of bitcointalk, i met so much ideas and dreams about the complete switch to the cryptocurrency. However, even if there are no people against the crypto, one problem will be left unsolved: electricity.

No, i will not talk about mining, power saving and etc. The problem is that we cant provide the permanent, uninterrupted power supply for the terminals, which will accept the payments. Ofcourse, accumulators could change the situation, but internet connection is needed to count the price of the coin and complete the transaction. Maybe it could be solved with some kind of cold storages, but the problem of the corresponding price cant be solved like this. And so on.

I want to say, is that we cant switch to the 100% e-payments until we make the essential, necessary infrastructure for it. And if humanity will miss that moment, the new kind of terrorism can appear: EMI terror. One single impulse, and financial operations will stop. Easy as hell.

The main step to the full switch to epayment shall be the invention of wireless electicity transmission. This method should be protected from any kind of malicious impact through the isolation for ex. Maybe, it will be the same technology as the one, that Elon Musk wants to try with the internet (orbital wi-fi). The only way to stop the transmission is to destroy the satelite.

Do you agree with this theory? What do you think is the biggest problem of the 100% switch to e-payments?

I am sure wireless transfer of electric energy is being worked on while the answer to other part of question related to problems in adoption of epayments i think is that the vast majority of population is still illiterate regarding all these tech products, a vast percentage still do not know the use of smart phones and internet yet so that just makes them live in the fiat world only for them tech does not exist because they do not know how to use it.

hw wallets are making great moves towards that topic, we already have Ledger's HW.1, and theres also another tiny wallet, can't remember the name right now. this is already a good result, and doesn't look like the topic is very popular yet - so i think we are on the right course

It is not very popular because we are still far from this issue, right now we are having a bad time with its issue in scalability and it requires a time to solve this problem that was why people did not put too much their attention to this kind of problem.

The most important thing for any currency to become world-wide used is people's acceptance. People can accept any asset no matter what - even bottle caps. And crypto is known by a really small amount of people in the world. Involved are only ~0,15% of people.
This is the reason. Not electricity - it can't disappear all over the world. Internet - same. If it will - it may be a bigger problem than just disappearance of blockchain, much bigger

The biggest problem with switching to electronic payments is people. Until people want to switch to this type of payment together - nothing will happen. And will not be change for 100% never. There will always be fiat money. this is just my opinion

I understand what you are talking about, and waiting for many countries will be a real problem, as there are too many backward countries and regions that this problem prevents a full-scale transition to cryptocurrencies.

Even if some parts of the world have advanced to the level of that technological advancement and be able to use wireless energy transfer, there will still become among them who can't, because it cannot be 100% accurate. Then aside that, there are some other parts of the world that are far behind and who might find it very difficult to achieve that. Then such should be considered and will likely make it not to totally work.

This is a goos topic. I actually got your point some countries implemented a use of solar panel or solar energy that will consume less power consumption like what we have today. It will be much more safer and cheaper and the rise of internet we are more focusing on how the world will change to a next big thing.

I think Electricity is just part of the problem but, electricity is now widely acceptable and not exactly everyone should be some part of the business where they are required to  have too much electricity power. They can be part of crypto using only their cellphone.

What do you think is the biggest problem of the 100% switch to e-payments?

I think that if electricity goes off globally, there are plenty of other problems, bigger than e-payments temporarily not working.
And the only way to really stop this is to do it globally, which I find extremely difficult, especially since the world is using plenty of ways of producing, storing, transporting electricity.

The main step to the full switch to epayment shall be the invention of wireless electicity transmission. This method should be protected from any kind of malicious impact through the isolation for ex.

No. I think that we already have the key. It's the diversity.
Even a big attack will not stop all the networks, all the batteries and so on. Temporarily halt some, yes, but not all and not for long.
