This survey is asking for a lot of personal data. Why do you need that? Isn't it something fishy?

As the old joke goes - listing Bitcoin users broken down by age and sex can be interesting.

I keep reading that old people can't handle Bitcoin, but in my experience, it isn't the technicalities that stop them accepting it, but the misguided belief that fiat currencies are the ultimate safe havens.

This doesn't require any personal information specific to you. This only asks about your preferences. It's only for a research and its similar to the answers that you share in bitcointalk forum

The questions don't seem very well though.
I mean, can somebody have only 10-20 addresses and above 50 wallets?! Am I missing something?!

Edit: I filled the answers. And yeah, I agree with nc50lc, some more words about your research would be nice.

Hi! I Am doing a research on Bitcoin users. I am contributing the research results to be useful for bitcointalk forum. If you have some time please be kind enough to fill this form and help me in my research.
What kind of "research" is it?
If you're asking for our time to fill it up with honest answers, it would be nice to share to us the reason for doing it.

Thank You for your valuable Response. Happy Bit-coining !!!
BTW, what is "Bit-coining"? I'm always seeing that term on Youtube make-money-online videos and in some Local Boards.

This survey is asking for a lot of personal data. Why do you need that? Isn't it something fishy?
I didn't see any red flags here, just some invaluable info that only a real newbie can think of.

Yes sure. The research is focusing on identifying bitcoin clusters based on the data. As, I am yet on the initial stage I haven't finalized with the title. Only after looking at data, I can find further. I will definitely share more details down the line. Smiley

And Bitcoining is nothing but a slang generally used to say " continue using bitcoins"

This survey is asking for a lot of personal data. Why do you need that? Isn't it something fishy?

sorry about it. But, do you mean the survey is invaluable? please elaborate. so i can improve on it

<…>
If the intent of the survey is to post information on the forum about Bitcointalk user’s habits, then I’m afraid it will likely prove non-conclusive for reasons such as:

-   Not many people will likely answer the survey.

-   The survey is on the Beginners & Help section, so the participating profile in any case will likely be biased (i.e. mostly beginners).

-   Questions are non specific:

o   Frequent Bitcoin user should define what you consider frequent to be, or give ranges, and above all define what “user” means (i.e. That transacts every day, that looks at the value of his assets every week ,etc.)

o   Usage of Bitcoin suffers a similar conceptual indefinition, and should probably be tied to a time interval (i.e. per month).

o   BTC Addresses are sometimes just a measure of how much you transact. For example, some wallets give you a new address every time you receive BTC, whilst others don’t.

o   Open questions will be difficult to tabulate in a meaningful quantitative manner.

o   Nobody is seriously going to declare their "dark" usage of BTC on a survey.

I answered your survey, but as user above pointed out, your questions aren't specific enough and you should improve it to get more accurate answers.
What do you exactly mean with question about usage of Bitcoin? Are you asking how many times I spent Bitcon, how many times I transacted Bitcoin and etc.
It's difficult to answer question about Bitcoin addresses. Some wallets generate new address each time when you open wallet. And many people are using new address for each transaction, so probably they wont be able to answer.
And about usage of multiple wallets. It would be better to leave options to answer than leave open question.
P.S. Can you tell us where will you use data collected in this survey.
