The main reason for the bearish market today

I don't think SEM is behind the dumping of coins, I believe all this are normal occurrence that must happen in such a huge market with billions of dollars with several criticism and scam ICOs from Altcoins. But in due time the market will recover and everything will be just fine again.

The SEC has always been a hot topic with bitcoin, and the SEC also has enough influence to change people's perceptions of bitcoin, which is why the price can go up or down.

I think the main reason for the bearish market today is because of a decision made by SEC.

However, it does not mean the collapse of the market. To become a healthy market, we need to regulate several scam projects(Too many scams out there) and build an infrastructure to protect investors. I think it is one of the preparations for the explosive growth of the market and the involvement of new investors.

Please I stand to be corrected, SEC decision on market got nothing at all to do with the prices of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as whole. What we've experienced is ust the handy work of whales shilling here and there with a sole aim to gain more assets at relatively cheap rate.

Well you can't really flush out scam and shady icos entirely but you're right. That aspect had a lot to do with the decline of the market, probably more in  the decline of ethereum where most of these icos are platformed on. Though i think we're almost at the end of this bear trend.

I don't think the decision of the SEC is the main reason for the bearish market we are witnessing on the cryptocurrency market because the sec only have control over the US market and not the whole world market, I believe the high price increase in the past 2017 was as a result of heavy manipulation of the cryptocurrency market by big players in the cryptocurrency market and when they were done with the pump they cash out the gain and move on to other commodities.

The lawsuits against the ICOs Airfox and Paragon had nothing at all to do with the bearish market that has been going on for multiple months now. The market isn't bearish anymore, right now market is gaining resistance for a bigger price pushing. Now it seems to swing, end of the day there is good price increase. A day back it fell low close to $3950 and by the next day the price once again came close to $4050 and today it has crossed $4100 which is pure growth.
