If you see any channel in your telegram and you remember that was not subscribed by you, better remove that channel immediately. [1]
Today, I was automatically subscribed to a scam channel hence I am writing here, all the people who are all part of many other crypto related telegram channels may get subscribed to any scam like that.
What I experienced just now:
1. I saw a new channel in my telegram (both in mobile and web version). But I am sure I never joined such a group/channel. 2. It's name : Binance customer support English. 3. In a pinned msg they wrote : Binance to launch a new decentralized exchange and they are about to giveaway 20k eth. 4. To claim the giveaway we need to send some eth and they will send 10x of what we will send (big joke actually). 5. I did see many people are posting proof in that channel : Like "sent and waiting" and then posting proof. I worried a lot due to its well designed nature as it may convince many innocent people here. Hence wanted to start this topic. 6. I wrote a msg into that group like : this is a scam attempt, then suddenly I was unsubscribed from that channel. [2]
As per my research; Binance's site has no announcement about DEX. (But I read somewhere they are in plan to launch a DEX).
[1] [2] It seems that joining and leaving a channel/group may happen without our permission in telegram. This sounds telegram is not safer to use similar to skype. (Just my opinion as I not expert in security analysis.)
@mods: Just to grab attention of more crypto users, I am posting here. Please move this topic to appropriate board. Thanks.
