hiya, all, I started a auction thread please see here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5068066.20

I explain myself lower down, but TECSHARE made a comment that was offensive to me, so I neg rep him, I was not rude, just my experience and point of view, I was dissapointed in this user, I had no problems before hand, but something was not right with his attitude.

I left it at that, then I got an outright threatening message

Giving you till the end of the day to fix your over reaction before I call you out on this... don't reply back because I will not be responding.

The point is, this user is making threats to remove his neg rating, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS.

thank you.

If anyone give negative trust then negative trust receiver may ask for the reason and ask pardon by saying will not happen again. I am surprised, "How a person threats to remove negative trust?".
Edit: from the discussion of the mentioned thread "TECSHARE" does not deserve negative trust. It is my personal opinion.

yeah i am not sure, I have sent the message to mods, and I am seeing what thay advise, I am more surprised to the "I will not respond" part, so the communication is over.

What was the comment that was so offensive?  I only see him pointing out where the >50% increase in the auction bid was made after the auction ended.  What would you consider a fair amount of time after an auction ends that no more bids can be made?  You don't explain your side very well.

yeah sure I will explain more, when I seen the bid that was one second over, I just took it as lag, I have used tor a few times and I genuinly assumed it was nothing more than that, I did not care the value was alot, It was explained it was a typo anyway, but I would have accepted the bid anyway, the offence was taken when he said I had sold myself out for a few hundred bucks, this (in my opinion and thats all that mattered at the time) was something a seasoned user should not have said, I would have preferred a PM, but I got a few of his fan boys PM'ing me saying how right he was.

did that make anything more clearer, its all stupid really, I would have accepted a dialogue of some sorts, but he just made the comment above in PM

can people please stop PM'ing me about this, please post here and make it all public, thank you, but to address some questions, no, I did not neg rep because other people were venting at me, my comments only represent how I felt towards this user, and secondly, I have not and will not try and communicate to someone who has told me not to, even if a simple chat will sort it out, I have not closed the dorrs, they have, and made that quite clear, thank you.

If you do not care value then why you will take the bid which has made after the end of the auction? It is not a fact how much time that is (either 1 second or 1 day). And I think it is totally unfair. As it is unfair "TECSHARE" might think you lost your reputation (as you have good reputation and "TECSHARE" also trust you that's why made bid on your auction thread.

can people please stop PM'ing me about this, please post here and make it all public,
I think people should not pm base on this as there is an open topic people can post here their opinion.

Note: I do not think this post deserve on scam accusation board, this should take place on reputation board.

because I considered it a valid bid, lag does not take one day, thats the difference.

I was trying to give you an opportunity to save face by messaging you privately before I made a post over it. I guess it was my mistake thinking you would have calmed down a bit and thought this through, instead you proceed to pre-emptively rip your own face off so I can't do it. Mission accomplished?

Also I told you not to contact me further in private because I am not naive enough to believe you would see that this was an overreaction, and any further replies of mine would easily be taken out of context and blown out of proportion... pretty much exactly what you just did.

It is irrelevant if you think 1 second (it was actually 2 seconds BTW) was a big deal. Offering an auction is a formation of a contract, one that is activated upon the first bid. You deciding to arbitrarily extend the auction time limit is in violation of your agreement with the bidders. This is what I was politely trying to warn you about, instead you turned a friend into an enemy, and completely exposed yourself. Good job.

yes right... ok, it was only one second on the timestamp, and that user even said he clicked on post before the time was up, yes I should have put on "no sniping" or even questioned it, I even asked you if you have never made a mistake? I made a call on MY auction, I err'd on the side of the internet and I had no problem reversing the situation, as I have all ready posted the goods out to the "real" winner

but you have missed the point of this thread entirely, you threatened me to remove your rep, I had to explain the whole situation here so people were caught up properly, why not talk it over and message me calmly instead of the short temper burst, that's why this is here, another user asked me to remove rep on the thread, but when I logged on, I read that and your PM at the same time so I did not remove it.

as you say, good job.

You cant consider anyone as valid if that is of rules. If you want to consider anyone as valid on your own way, then there is no reason to make auction. If you consider 1 second then someone may consider 1 minute, then someone can consider 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week etc. Anyway, don't mind if I am wrong. As it is open discussion that's why giving my opinion.

and I appreciate opinions, I welcome them, but in my world one second does not escalate, I would not accept a bid 1 min or there after on any of my auctions.

in my opinion only I was offended by TECSHARE, that's why I neg rep them, then I was threatened, this is simple in my book, I could have been shot down for forcing someone to honor a 1 btc bid and I would accept the wrath, but threatening behavior OF ANY kind on this forum is not allowed. that's why I posted the whole story up.

I hope I have explained my position a little better, I welcome any more questions.

I see, so now I have to explain how time and time zones work? If the last second you can bid is 7:59 and 59 seconds, where did that extra second come from?

0. 7:59:59
1. 8:00:00
2. 8:00:01

Also the fact you read my message as well as the request to remove the rating at the same time is an artifact of you living in the UK while I live in the US. I guess that is my fault too right?

You can still turn this around buddy. Or keep doubling down. I don't really care. Either way in the end your rating will mean nothing.

I'm also of the opinion that accepting a bid 1 second late is a bad move. If you use any auction site, Ebay for example, and you place a bid that comes in one second late, because you are trying to snipe the auction, the system automatically rejects it. the auction is over at the time it says its over. We don't have an automatic auction end here, so when someone says an auction is over at 12:00 its over at 12:00 not 12:00:01, and we use the time stamps to determine that.

Do I think you are a scammer? Ehhhh.... maybe by some definition? But I'd say generally no. Are dishonest trading tactics like that something people should be aware of, and should it be reflected on trade reputation (trust)? I absolutely believe so.

I might be tempted to give you negative feedback rating for it personally, but I'm relatively careful with my negative ratings. A neutral telling people not to expect your auctions to be quite fair would be more than fair in my opinion.

TECSHARE is correct here, IMO, and he doesn't deserve a neg for giving his opinion here.  You can't presume there was a lag and therefore accept a late bid--this is yet another reason why the Auction section needs some more guidelines so that it isn't such a free-for-all, where it's even accepted by some that bidding on your own auctions is acceptable.

TECSHARE is arrogant and a prick, and if that was a good reason for getting negative trust, I'm sure his trust page would look a lot different.  However, it's not.  Regardless of whether you thought he was rude, he's right about the issue.

Yes, he is correct, but from his side also not polite to write such messages in PM. Can't he just ask and find out what motives was put neg rep?

You must have missed what I wrote above.  This is exactly what he does--argues via PM and even on your trust page when you finally get tired of arguing with him via PMs.  See my post here about the way he handles disagreements.
