I would like to ask if it is already possible to trade a CDX token?
I would also like to ask what gives it value, because I have not found anything but that having a CDX, fee is 50% lower? Is there anything else?

Hello, yes, you can trade CDX. The price depends on demand and supply, please, keep in mind the CDX token was launched in the previous week. You can find all the information about how you can use CDX here: http://bit.ly/CODEX-CDX-Native-Token

Taken from the article:

Get Trading Fees Discount. Throughout the 1st year, users of the CODEX exchange get to cut 50% off their trading fees whenever choosing to pay them in CDX.

Apply Multiplier for CDX Tokens Balance. Trade Mining participants, who have a certain amount of CDX on their CODEX balance, get to boost their earnings from trading on selected markets by using the trade volume Multiplier:
1 for < = 10,000 CDX
1.2 for 10,000–100,000 CDX
1.4 for 100,000–500,000 CDX
1.6 for 500,000–1,00,000 CDX
1.8 for 1,000,000–2,000,000 CDX
2.0 for > = 2,000,000 CDX

It is crucial to remember! Any trades users have paid for in CDX cannot and will not be taken into account when distributing the trade mining rewards.

Increase Affiliate Commission. If users have no CODEX’s tokens on their balance, the commission they earn from trading fees of their referees will initially be set at the 20% rate. However, the more CDX tokens users got, the higher their commission rate will be:
20% for 0–99,999 CDX
25% for 100,00–499,999 CDX
30% for 500,000–999,999 CDX
35% for 1,000,000–1,999,999 CDX
40% for > 2,000,000 CDX

Get Loyalty Payments. The loyalties are being paid out in various cryptocurrencies traded by CODEX’s users daily based on the total trading volume. Loyalties will be paid to users who have a CDX balance. To qualify for loyalty payments user has to make at least 1 trade.

HODLing. Users can HODL CDX for the later use on the platform as the CDX token value is designed to grow with time and along with the CODEX exchange. Check out CODEX Roadmap [Q1 2019] and see what we have in a pocket for you: http://bit.ly/CODEX-Roadmap-Q1-2019

If you have any other questions, please, ask! Wink

#CODEX_guide is here.

We've all heard a lot about exchanges' security issues (if not to say fails) recently. A cryptocurrency exchange must be secure by default. It is sad to realize the users' losses. Being an exchange, such a business should take measures to protect users' funds. In the end, these funds are someone's money meant to be spent for a living. Along with creating CODEX, we commit to making our exchange as secure as possible.

Why does CODEX outstand? We use EdDSA cryptography when it comes to API secrets. We store only the public keys. What are the other security measures we take? Here: https://codex.one/security

To make a long story short, our aim is not to convince you with words. Stay tuned with us not to miss important news about CODEX's Security in the next few months.

good post.

security is one of the biggest issues exchanges had and have to deal with.
hack attacks threatened almost every big exchange and it is risky from the beginning because basically they act like banks but without the insurance.
for users this means they can expect only as much security as they implement themselves.
#youareyourownbank

it is tough but kinda fair.

rule #1 don't leave money in an exchange you may need to pay for things to survive

There should be major changes in the industry to fix that Smiley
Finally, to bring security as a default.

Crypto is a semi-regulated and yet undetermined by regulators sphere. Though, CODEX looks forward running exchange between regulations and crypto-enthusiasts.

CODEX has all necessary licenses to provide exchanging a virtual currency against fiat currency and a virtual currency wallet service:

http://bit.ly/CODEX-fiat-license
http://bit.ly/CODEX-wallet-service

What does it mean for our traders?
It means that we are committed to regulatory compliance, first of all. Changes in cryptocurrencies regulation won't affect CODEX exchange as those which are not licensed. Our traders are more protected in terms of our business sustainability.

It also means we are prepared to provide the best possible experience to buy cryptos. Simply, with fiat money is the easiest way.
Yes, you heard it right: Expect USD and EUR pairs. Fiat pairs integration will be finished until the end of Q1 2019 😉

Stay updated and check out #CODEX_guide from time to time to know more about CODEX exchange!

If there is no ICO, Where the project funds come from ?. The features are too common, What is the difference between CODEX to other exchange ?

We have several investors to fund the project.
We especially avoided conducting an ICO due to the negative associations and poor history of many ICO projects.

Answering your question, what is the difference between CODEX and other exchanges:
There indeed a lot of exchanges and we frequently see the question “Why we need another exchange?”. Yet, we think we can deliver value to space.

Security. We use EdDSA cryptography, unlike other exchanges, when it comes to users’ API meaning that we don’t store API secrets. In January we finished developing our internal Anti-Fraud system which helps us to notice unusual behaviors or when it comes to large sums withdrawals, for example, to double check the legitimacy of actions. Summing up all the security solutions we can say that we are committed to security.
Hybrid exchange. We strive to be a hybrid exchange to combine security of a decentralized exchange and convenience of a centralized one. For example, we work under an integration of EOS wallets for login using the private key of the wallet without a login and password, so the user signs the transaction with his wallet. At the moment, we only allow to log in using a private key, which is already a safer way.
EOS-oriented exchange with a real track record of implementations. We create infrastructure solutions for the convenience and use of the EOS community (for example, our #EOSCPUAid with attic.pool, free generation of EOS wallets, EOS Staking as mentioned in a roadmap and many more).
Improved user interaction with the exchange and their funds. For example, we are working on the creation of a special e-voucher system that will allow users to send/credit funds using QR codes (CODEX Codes), both inside the exchange to different accounts and outside of it, for example, for friends.
Contributions to general crypto community. We are community-oriented, and therefore we are working not only on our exchange but also improving the interaction of users of the cryptosphere, if we see the need for this and a certain demand. For example, CODEX Codes, which were originally developed for the internal usage, or Omni, the first USDT desktop wallet, which we will open for public access on our GitHub, which also was developed for the internal usage first.

Does it answer your question?
We'd be happy to hear your thoughts. Which differences would you like to see on a new exchange?

Great Exchange, I think we need some more trustworthy exchanges for crypto and Codex can become a really good exchange. Especially the part with EOS is a big benefit for Codex.

Are you also planning to list waves on Codex near future?  Smiley

Dear CODEX Community,
CODEX will delist SALT, Aeternity, Waltonchain, IOST and Zilliqa tokens.

However, don’t be upset: AE, WTC, IOST and ZIL will move to their own blockchains. The delisting, in this case, is an inevitable process. We look forward to list these tokens again in the nearest future.

Find out in our blog post what you should know about:
👉 the delisting process, its terms and conditions;
👉 the withdrawal deadline and what to do in case you’ve missed it.

Read here: http://bit.ly/CODEX-Delisting-SALT-AE-WTC-IOST-ZIL

Happy Monday everyone!

Remember we told you about Matching v.2?
Matching v.2 is our own, written from a scratch exchange engine we are going to deploy in [Q1 2019] according to our Roadmap: http://bit.ly/CODEX-Roadmap-Q1-2019. Having own engine is also differs CODEX from many other exchanges.

We are already testing it. What is special about it? CODEX's matching engine will be able to process up to 539K transactions per 1 sec according to our results. We are looking forward to deploying it and improving our users' trading experience.
