I can't blame the man. He never hid his efforts to avoid being anywhere that's close to a conflicted territory but his fear may serve as an incentive to invest in more projects to develop immersive technologies so that he can visit deployed soldiers without having to face any risk.

It is extremely uncommon for a sitting president to visit active war zones for pretty obvious security reasons. Nice attempt at a hit piece tho. Maybe next time.

Not at all. I actually don't think it's safe to do so, hence why it'd be good to export the holograms of important people in high risk areas so that they can be in touch with deployed soldiers.
If you ask, I want a world with no wars at all.

He's probably not afraid there just isn't enough pussy's to grab to make the trip worth his time!

Isn't there an invasion at the southern border, he might as well call that a combat zone and head there for a couple pics!

It is foolish to visit troops on the battlefield, so being assassinated is inevitable. No matter how powerful the army, you should be careful about the power of the unknown. Don't forget that the president was assassinated in American history. It is wise to do so.

27 times is a lot? Also lots of trips to South Korea there in the early 2000's and on... I didn't know South Korea was a war zone. Oh right, technically on paper it is a war zone even though there hasn't been a battle there for how many decades? xD

Good try

Good try

Considering that previous presidents all did it about 4 or 5 times in their mandates it's not uncommon. Didn't say a lot but not uncommon.

And as far as I know he didn't visit troops in war zone that they be active or not.

How about you stop thinking we I have some kind of agenda against the guy? You keep saying shit like "good try" "nice try" like it's a personnal accomplishment to prove he made a mistake or failed at some point...

Fuck "visiting troops in war zones" as a indicator of courage or, whatever.

Yes there are virtual combat zones at the US/Mexico border. Yes there are jeeps with 50 caliber guns, troops with 2" flak jackets (not just the lightweight bulletproof vests). Hell, I saw a K9 dog down there with a flak jacket!

How about good relations with NK as an accomplishment.

One more reason to use VR to avoid putting high ranking officials at risk. However, popularizing the trend would require everyone's acceptance.

I think he might be more afraid of what the troops are going to say to him and the political cost of that. But anyway what can he win by visiting the war-zones? he is not trying to get re-elected yet

Just a clarification. When I mentioned 'virtual combat zone' I did not mean VR, but virtual combat zone = "almost a combat zone" definition.

Agree on the merits of using VR for a purpose such as you propose.

LOL

That's not his job, do you think Afghanistan is a 2hr drive away ?  I think he's already done enough for the military and he can visit them in a safer location that isn't going to cost taxpayers millions.

I suppose now you guys can break down the amount of time it took him to go, compare it to others, and claim it means something.

Why do you even talk about Hillary?
Hating Trump doesn't mean loving Hillary...
Are you so much in the binary system?

No body is launching any war on the U.S ,  the "war zones" you talk about are others country's lands that the U.S invaded in the name of "War on Terror" bullshit. that being said, Trump is smart enough not to go places where he is most certainly not welcomed. and as for the U.S army maybe it's about time to go back home and stop pretending the world peace maker. every places that the U.S army stepped foot at had only became a better place on American TV and Media while in reality it only got worse. so what fucking "war zones" are you talking about ?

I'd say the poster of this thread is biting his dogs finger nails right about now.  Trump spent Christmas in IRAQ with a bad ass speech and a show of love for the troops.. What did the communist queer do ?  Don't spend too much time thinking of the answer because he did nothing and spent his Christmas with his disgusting ape looking wife sitting around hating America..

Long live Trump.

Die quickly obuma , or should I say Frank Marshall Davis JR II

Trump is finally visited a war zone, if we can call Iraq a war zone. In that country, people die every day but in most cases from car bombs which are actually sect violence approved by the occupation forces. Trump even take his charming wife in this war zone and they have good time there by motivating their troops to continue their fight against terror. Since they defeated ISIS and Al-Qaeda, do they still look for weapons of mass destruction or just working on safe oil export from Iraq?

The view from a different angle, Trump also caused a minor diplomatic incident - but we all know Iraq is just one more playground for USA, and they play by their own rules.

Funny, Trump didn't get us in to Syria, but he is getting us out of it, still he is a warmonger right? Your brain is made of putty ready to be shaped to what ever bullshit makes you feel right on any given day.
