I was thinking of starting a career in blockchain projects either as a core developer or a DAPP developer.
But looking at the recent slump and disappearing ICO market, I am having doubts.

Yes, now there is a decline in the market and interest in Crypto. Maybe you should move in a different direction. Otherwise, you may waste your time.

the ICO market slumped. because most ICO projects are not reliable anymore. everyone hopes that if the listing occurs there is a pump in front who will wait, on the contrary, when the ICO listing on the stock exchange, all projects on average experience dumping. that makes everyone a little deterred by the ICO system

It is really hard to find good jobs in crypto if you don't have any skills applicable in there. But you can't just depend on crypto only, better to look another job outside if you have not luck in crypto.

You might wait further till the market provides you more opportunity to continue the project you are hoping to. And also, do consider the news and do some fundamental analysis of the situation in order to be sure of your decisions.
