The amount of cryptocurrencies out there is nauseating. Up in the thousands now.
Do you see a future where we're using a wide variety, or will one come out on top?
Technically, if one of these ICO projects create a be-all-end-all decentralized platform where all products and services are bought and sold, I guess it isn't impossible to one day have just one.
What do you think?
The future I see is in few. Jack the CEO of twitter is obviously gearing up for bitcoin revolution from his latest tweet. I think soon, bitcoin will be globally accepted as the best form of transaction on the Internet and a couple of other blockchain projects like ethereum |

I am for a huge number of tokens and coins, because only in this way can we really achieve decentralization, but this is also a very controversial issue, which is now difficult to really call that way, the fact is, now there is a BTC that manipulates the entire market.

As governments of countries have been making their own cryptocurrency there will be more cryptocurrency into usage in the future. Even now there is more than 2000 cryptocurrencies into usage. Finally each and every cryptocurrency is somehow associated to the bitcoin, which makes bitcoin to be the universal cryptocurrency similar to USD that we've got common for fiat currencies. |

Each crypto in the market is created to serve a purpose(even though most of them are not yet there) one crypto can't perfom multiple functions, that is why there will be a couple of crypto that will shape the future of cryptocurrency and blockchain as well, diversification is not a bad idea, the power of decentralization.

There will be numerous cryptos for sure especially as we see more platforms implmenting interoperability functionalites. Cosmos, Moac, Polkadot.. am I missing any?

Same with me especially with btc and eth, i don’t see any future from the shitcoins. There are some coins right now who are doing good but it wont last longer since its just a manipulation. The future is with the top coins so better to invest more on that and waste no time for this. |

There are hundreds and thousands of washing powder firms in the world. There are also thousands of different toothpaste firms. So it is normal for an idea to have many different projects. You should be familiar with that. |

Should remain the most necessary and technically unique coins, fast and stable, all the rest of the garbage is obliged to disappear after some time, because sooner or later people will become more selective to use cryptocurrency |

I think in the future there will still be hundreds of crypto coins because we cannot prevent crypto growth. but in the end the coins will not last long and die. and I think only one coin is strong and recognized by the global community, bitcoin. bitcoin will become the main currency in cryptocurrency. I am sure that in the future more people will invest and use bitcoin.

I think not only one crypto will shine in the near future, not also thousands because its too much, but at least about hundreds of altcoins including the coins on top. Some of the altcoins just go dump its price even after that bull run in the future. Some coins makes it to the list of top 100, but this is just my presumption of prediction.

I don't see one crypto but many cryptocurrency , thousands it too much for me. Cryptocurrency always have a future and i am already invest to some cryptocurrency.
It's not too much for bitcoin and crypto can worth hundreds thousands in the future especially for bitcoin because there are less than 21 millions supply to be used by billions people in the world and bitcoin has started from satoshi's imagination. |

There are so many cryptocurrencies, every day the altcoin is on the way to zero, but the real valuable tokens are very few. |

I cannot imagine we are going to use thousands of cryptocurrency because although we are in the heyday of creating new coins and making it easier for companies and individuals, some of them just die down because investors and trader cannot keep up with thousands of coins to deal with I think the most that we can probably have is 200. |

Well, bitcoin seems already an asset right now.
There are other cryptocurrency which have a future. On the other hand there are thousands crypto which has no future at all.

I know a lot of us hate that but I think these thousands of coins will come to a point where the elimination round will occur which is through mainstream adoption. I'm expecting 2-3 coins that will be patronized in each category when that time comes like in the payment platfrom or ai platform. |

the more, it will be confusing. I prefer a little, but it's very useful. if more and more come and end up losing value, they will only become a pile of rubbish. in the future crypto must be even more effective, with fewer numbers too.
