I also disagree that McAfee is the man of the year. This is a person who just makes money from advertising. Yes, at one time he created a product, after which he became famous. But today there are more worthy individuals who can claim this title.

Some say he's a person who promotes himself, he makes money but he too has invested into crypto. If he hasn't made any investment, but commenting from the outer layer then it is not appropriate. But, he has invested big and I consider his talks as a hope. Because cryptocurrency is all about uncertainty, everyone know it grows. But, none has a perfect data about its time requirement.

I found him a lot of advisors to some ico, my friend said he had good predictions in trading. for me, he was the only lucky person to get a free position from comments about Crypto and some of his followers on Twitter. I did not follow it, but I admit he is the one who has great followers.

I feel sorry for all the people who paid McAfee to shill their coins this year, I guess they each paid something like $100k per Tweet if I remember correctly. So if he made 20 Tweets he already has nice money to buy even more spots. And then he's running Presidency for USA, too, so people have all paid for his campaign funding haha!

Pity even more those who bought coins this year because McAfee said so. I admit I did it a couple of times with Tron but luckily made my money selling high.

Many people tried to speak against McAfee predictions, but I think he is doing a good job and the reason why bitcoin was able to make surprise movements in 2017 was because of his predictions and speculations.  Even his prediction look unachievable I think he has influenced the market really.  He should be the man of the year.

I think there is nothing wrong if he will be a crypto man of the year,  it is good that is someone who is well known to promote bitcoin. This is a good thing that some other well-known people or who has power will get interested in bitcoin. He can influence most people because of his popularity.

Large sum of investments have come into the cryptocurrency once after predictions put forth by McAfee which is true. His predictions were very wild, but now the market is completely unpredictable. Even now if he's requested to predict the future market of bitcoin, he'll be doing the same. In some way I believe he's full of positive thoughts about bitcoin.

See the McAfee predictions in the last year and see the actual price of bitcoin and you will just laugh at him.    Being such a Senior person his prediction were not even close to reality. However he always remain popular in the news as people still believe that his predictions do effect the bitcoin price pump or dump.

I think that Mcafee is simply a man who enjoys a reputation in which he often receives great rewards for saying in what cryptocurrency to invest, without relying on a technical or fundamental analysis, he is just a character who gives often disastrous investment advice, Avoid this, it is very necessary to learn to understand the market.

I don't think McAfee deserve to be called the Crypto man of the year. Those days the name McAfee was a very good name in the space. He keeps predicting on daily basis and things started going wrong for him when he started promoting projects without basis in th Cryptocurrency Space because he was being paid for doing such. Also I remember he predicted BTC to hit $50K or he will eat his b**ls. I believe he might have started doing that now. Justin Sun, the CEO of Tron/BTT and CZ Binance should be given the award simultaneously.

that is wrong because he does not promote bitcoin but  he was discrediting it  . not sure if you already saw his statements before  , afaik most of them are about bullying the bitcoin . but you were still right , even if we considered him as a basher  , he still expose bitcoin to the public .  

mcafee isnt also the one that does this but there are lots of them who should be the candidate to become the crypto man of the year .
