I think bounty and airdrop itself has long become obsolete they are ineffective in advertising , I think ieo is now popular due to the fact that the responsibility takes the exchange

It's not the advertising that is not effective but the reputation of ICO, there are lots of scam projects that are promoted and lots of newbie investors were victims of this. If an IEO would use an advertising like social media campaign and signature campaign, it will give more exposure to the project.

The problem for the newbie investors is they are just keep on investing on what is popular but they don't know that it is easy for the ICOs projects to get advertisement to any website they like because they have the money and they know that they are going to get that investment back because they are expecting a high fund accumulation during their ICO.

yes bounty campaign is an effective means of promotion no doubt but sometimes hunters are use by some greedy project owners and in the end will be left with nothing at all, hunters do more strenuous work to campaign for project to achieve their goal but sometimes hunters get screwed over, they don't receive their payment or sometimes receive half of what was promised and because of such rules of the campaign which state that the project reserve the right to make any adjustment of the rules, there is nothing you can do but accept.
