I bought Aelf in December 2017 and regret having sold this coin.

Previously, I did not believe in the prospect of Aelf, but the project shows itself well for a long time

As I remember last two years 1 quartals are not very good for crypto because of Chinese New Year and exchanges selling crypto to pay taxes, so maybe it will grow later a little bit?

Well, I tend to believe that you have to secure funding first. Launching a MainNet with these prices is really risky. Why not focusing on already existing altcoins like MFX with their own MainNet and Masternode structure? Plus they have already reached their soft cap, which means they have have secured enough funds already.

it has not much sense this comparison..  would be like comparing a ford with lamborghini! aelf is not a new company.. it has a solid position in TOP100 of coinmarketcap.. team doesnt stop with development and updates! i am not exagerating... it is almost daily.. they are really focused on development!

I have been talking with many friends about this project.. Last months i have been very engaged and have been selected to manage their spanish local community (thanks for giving me this oportunity).
If from outside, the project seemed promising to me, now that i am somehow part of it and know much more, I am really really enthusiast about the bright future of it. The main net should be working in Q1 2019.. and right now people is nervous, waiting for the info of MASTERNODES!!!!!!! As soon as the info is disclosed (tokens needed for masternode, ROI,..)+ this main net launch.. i am pretty sure that ælf will make a hugh jump in price. Honestly, I think the project will reach at least TOP20 of coinmarketcap in a timeframe of 1-2years.

price now around 0,1$ ($27Million marketcap) which is simply ridiculous for the aim and potential of aelf..

time will tell us if i was right

Anyone basing his premises on the statement made by MCafee should not be talking serious, this was a guy that admit to pumping a coin because he was paid to do so, where are all the coins he helped to pumped this time last year, they have all crashed in value. I am not saying Aelf is a bad investment but the decisions to invest must be based on fundamentals

Did you read propperly my first post? I comented about what MacAfee said regarding "winter and blossom", which is a methaphor of economic cycles.. i recommend you to read about Elliot Waves!
So, you are wrong, my premises arent based on this guy. In fact, i hate him.. as you said, he did and he will keep doing whatever for money, just a mercenary. No scrupules when is time to shill whatever if he is well paid.
aelf is not just a good investment, it is an absolutely great investment, and i will write a long post about this.

Just to begin.. here you got a huge difference: testnet verified with a transaction speed of nearly 15.000 transactions/second, that is 2000x faster than BTC. is this enough for you?

I doubt it, this reminds me when Tron launched its mainnet yesterday, but it didn't provide maximum growth and the price didn't explode as predicted by many people. So the launch of mainnet is not an indicator to trigger a price explosion, but clearly there is an effort and hope from the developer and the community to increase the price of the token, maybe creating a pump..

Id say there is no comparison between aelf and Tron. Tron has achieved everything they said they would so far and more, whereas aelf is so far unconfirmed...

Great marketing is what a coin/token needs to be successful. Silent Notary is another one in a similar situation as aelf. May be great one day, but a lack of marketing will make it very hard. Better to learn from Tron. Top 10 for a reason.

Nice try, wont bite your bait.. I had TRON long time ago, but  sold and lost trust as soon as its CEO cashed out 1,2B from his own project.

NO thanks.. i prefer the solid organic growth of a project like aelf.  But you are right, it is said that TRON is specialist with this  great massive marketing for pump&dump schemes.. Like the recent Bitorrent ICO, where ONLY 962 persons in the WHOLE world were able to join... Lots of crypto entusiast raised a huge red flag over this operation as it seemed a  blatant scam to many people.

also found you are newbie.. i strongly encourage you to make some research before trying to compare aelf (that could be a standard of the sector with its "sidechains" concept and few things with NO OTHER projet has yet!)  with these 2 coins you mentioned. Seems you still got a lot to learn.

By the way, i will come back to this thread and quote your message in 2 years when TRX doesnt exists anymore and aelf is among TOP20

I have been working 21 years as financial advisor on different markets: stocks, futures, commodities, forex,.. and 3 years on crypto. But probably you are the expert..
I know what i am talking about, development of aelf is simply amazing, while TRX has been many times marked with a red flag. Everyone should make his own research and not follow just opinions.
Time will tell us who was right and who was wrong.

I just checked this aerf at coinmarketcap just now and it seems to have great future as only today when almost other coins are struggling to come out of red it has made around 10% positive changes in pricing.  I just come across it for the first time and I will like to do further research on it for possible investments.  I was thinking that ethereum or ripple are the two major coins that the whales are putting their eyes on but now I know that there are many coins that are going to give good return if we can invest in them now that there are extremely cheap.

I think the market is now saturated with projects that emphasize confidentiality. Privacy has become too much lately, I think that it is not needed in such numbers, the market will simply not be able to assimilate all this volume of new projects related to confidentiality. But I certainly could be wrong.

?¿ privacy? sorry, but this is not the industry where aelf is mainly focused... this is not like Monero, VErge, Cloak...
As other user previously said, market is saturated.. and most of the coins dont have a real case of use appart from speculative purpose.
On the other side, there are few coins in the market that could really be a surprise.. Aelf among them, as it is leading the technology front with higher blockchain efficiency, .. in fact it has been named by some as the Linux of Blockchains.

ps: No ICO, just private investors aware of the potential of the project.
