Hello, I would like to start mining, I do not know a lot of about it, but I can have free electricity, so I would like to use it.
So please, could you kindly recommend me currently the best Antminer for about 1000$? And where to buy? It is good to buy here some Bitmain coupons?
Thank you for your advices.

I can buy Antminer S9 13.5Th/s for 350USD. Is that a good price? I have heard that it is little bit noisy, so in my bedroom it is not the best place for it right?

Yes it is noisy but as long as you have free electricity any miner you buy you are in a win situation if you consider your initial investment as lost money. I would go personally for the S9 in this scenario and I wouldn't mind a bit of noise, in my bedroom I have a rig of six Gtx 1060 3 GB and they made some noise but they don't bother me, I sleep tight.

What ?350USD?

In China, the S9i 14T with power supply has been used for less than half a year, and the price is not more than 1,300 yuan, about 185 USD.

Does it have to be an Antminer? There are other choices that will give you better return and be less loud.

Thank you for your opinion, if I do not find any better, I will try it Wink. I will not sell my mined Bitcoins for this price, I will hold it. So I do not care about the recent profit.

Yeah, half year used. I know, but in China everything is cheap, I can buy it in my country withou shipping and taxes.

Hey mate I know where you could buy Antminer S9i 14.5TH/s brand new much cheaper than $350. I think the price is only $275.

This. The s9 is an absolute monster noise-wise. You'll go screamingly insane trying to sleep near one, or even having it in the same house. Outbuildings only, and ideally not in residential areas. Of course, there are methods to keep them quieter (chopping up cooler boxes for example), but even with free electric you'll take months to earn enough to pay for the cooler. You could also underclock the original firmware, which keeps the fans quieter, but all this is a lot of effort!

I keep two of the cooler box-type quieters with an Antminer L3+ (quieter than the S9 and uses less power, though it mines Scrypt) in my garage and basement, and it does significantly diminish noise output from the miners, though note that not all of the sound's going to be removed even with good craftsmanship. If you've got near-free electrical rates, building one on your own shouldn't be too expensive considering the costs to build one (a cooler and some 4"-6" flexible ducting), though if absolutely possible don't get one as huntingthesnark said- it's going to make your break-even time much longer than it already is. These machines are built for industrial use in the end.
