I don't know how many users heard about Liberland.
Liberland is a new sovereign state located between Croatia and Serbia on the west bank of the Danube River. It was proclaimed as Free Republic of Liberland on April 13, 2015. See further information following this link.
Long time ago i applied for citizenship but still get no answer.
Today i receive an interresting email from them, here it is:
Quote

Dear ***** **********,

Liberland is arranging a Meetup on Thursday, November 29, at 8PM.

We would like to invite you to come join us and meet the local Liberland Team in Barcelona.

There will be short talks, presentations and plenty of time for networking. Some of the topics we will discuss are:
- Latest developments in Liberland - will be handled by Liberland Representative of Spain, Conrad Freeman (He is also a musician.).
- Liberland, ICO, and his new company: blog.eXlama.com - will be handled by Liberland Representative of the Canary Islands, Pavel Karpíšek.
- CEO and founder of Globatalent a blockchain-based tool where sports clubs and players can fund themselves and fans can invest in players and teams - will be handled by Sunil Bhardwaj.
The meeting will be held at: Retrome Café & Lounge, Carrer de Girona, 81, 08009 Barcelona
(Lower price for drinks paid with cryptocurrency (BTC, BCH, ETH, and others accepted)).

We look forward to seeing you there.

Warmest regards,
Liberlan Team in Barcelona.

This part of land will sooner or later become part of one of two countries and whole this idea is just a joke. Serbia currently is not interested for that land, which does not mean that it will not change in the future based on they war acts back in 1991 against Croatia. On the other hand Croatia is currently busy meeting all requests coming from Brussels and they did not care for some imaginary Liberland.

If Liberland is sovereign state as you think, why this meeting is not organized there, but in Spain? Maybe because it's flooded in this time of year or it is to small to accommodate 450 000 potential residents who want to live on 7km2 of land...

I was really enthouiastic by the new country until reading your comment as i think am missing a lot of information about Liberland.
I think you are right at all level so no need to discuss the situation of the crypto adoption by the them. I would like to discuss more details with you but after the sheduled meetup take place. So i will see what they are willing to do and how they aim to solve those complications.

Glad to hear this thing still exists. It doesn't look like much has changed but you gotta give it to them for perseverance. I'd give up long ago.
