What are your thoughts on claims that the Ethereum network isn't sustainable and that it's smart contracts will be overtaken by networks like the Tron Network, Cardano, EOS? Surely Ethereum 2.0 should help?

This post do not belong to this board. Should be in Altcoin discussion.

I believe tron cardano and eos are shitcoins ans will not replace eos.
Tron devs funds were supposed to be locked z and were sold.

EOS mainnet is very buggy, not threat to eth .

Cardano still need more development.

Etheruem has its problems, but no successor in short term.

I think ethereum is still a very strong altcoin, and all three are not significant threats to eth, and about ethereum 2.0, maybe that can help, but now eth can still survive

As of now, I don’t see any of the coins mentioned to be a threat of Ethereum. Ethereum community is huge and I believe they will continue using Ethereum especially after 2.0 is launched. Neo is a closer competitor for Ethereum IMO,

If the proposition of ethereum 2.0 is true, it may have a chance to defend the rank of ethereum. But if its not, many coins will surely make a statement and overtakes ethereum's position. Like EOS and Tron, both of this coin should never underestimate.

I've been reading for some time that these coins/projects were going to take Ethereum's place but, until now, and despite the problems Ehereum occasionally has, they haven't done and it doesn't seem they will do it in the near future. If you take ICOs as a reference, you will see the majority of them still use Ethereum based tokens.

I am sure that none of these projects will be able to beat the ethereum. they will be able to take some part of users, but they will not be able to beat it.

We can't be sure unless we see that ethereum 2.0 on live.

There's nothing wrong if another network will overtake smart contracts if it can't really sustain itself. The only constant in this world is change and that's why if there are new things to be discovered and being liked by the people then it shall dominate.

No one knows for sure how ethereum 2.0 will work, but we must know that it is an improvement from the previous one and every improvement is present to make things already better, let's all hope that Ethereum will improve soon

I don't think any of the projects you mentioned can take Ethereum's place not even EOS. Ethereum's commuity is very big and despite all the problems, more than 90% of ICOs are still on Ethereum network.

If the team of the etherium reaches, as they promise, 1000 transactions per second, it will greatly affect the price of the ethereum. then most likely those blockchains that come to change ETH will be left far behind

not very soon eth is going to be replaced by the projects you have mentioned. Vitalik Buterin is trying his best for the ethereum and smart contracts was the thing which was only introduced by the ethereum in the crypto space

I think it is still strong and still good to maintain, and it seems that it is still difficult to replace even though many other platforms want to overthrow eth. Eth still exists and has a future so it will still be fine.

You do not get the point mate, he was asking about the network that could be replaced/overtaken and ETH 2.0 as the solution for this problem. And based on the rumour about this ETH 2.0, they claimed it will boost the network and solve every major problem that ETH faces right now.

Talking about TRX, EOS and ADA network right now. All of them could not surpass 10 trx per second right now, and if nothing new happens with them later. It is very unlikely for those project to overtake ETH's smart contract, because it is still faster compared to those 3 projects.

Very spot on facts, i do feel Stellar could make sense
And if further explantiable facts are published about etherum 2.0
Maybe there could be a short term solution

Wave is the worst of shitcoins, but maybe they just need more development

I also still believe ethereum, because so far only ethereum has been able to generate profits. and if I can choose altcoins other than ethereum, I will choose BCH. although bch is currently down, but if you follow this coin starting from the initial release. Of course you have got a lot of profit from this coin. including me, I made a profit without capital. at that time I got this coin when the bitcoin hardfork. and I just sold it last year

None of those you have mentioned can compete favourably with ethereum, except there is more development on them. I am also sure that if the Ethereum 2.0 is eventually lunched, that will be a great achievement that might be hard to overthrown.

The eth 2.0 network is definitely superior and should have an unparalleled smart contract, eth speed and accuracy are undoubted.
For other coins such as EOS, TRX, and ADA, you may have to develop and be faster to have the chance to surpass eth.

Yes you are right, ethereum is a strong project and it is very unlikely that ethereum will fall at the price of $ 50, ethereum is more likely to rise to have a higher price because many believe in ethereum. I don't doubt ethereum, and I'm sure ethereum can jump high and make a profit.
