Yes, you can buy stuff on Amazon using BTC. There is a wallet called Ipayyou (it is 2 years old age now) that allows you to buy on Amazon using your bitcoins. The wallet has a featured called “Amazon Direct” that lets you transfer any dollar amount of bitcoin to use for purchases on Amazon. I might be mistaken but I think this is the only way, for now, to buy things on amazon using bitcoins.

For more information check:https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/ipayyou/

or visit : https://wallet.ipayyou.io/

I haven't used their service but it seems they hold private keys which is little bizarre for sites like that. It is interesting if it works as people are always buying things from amzon but I would suggest that if you're first time buyer, don't buy anything too expensive, buy something cheap to try it to see if it works and how smooth transaction goes before you buy anything expensive.

yeah is the same when you are buying something with credit card in a new website
Maybe to prevent or solve that kind of site, we can use new wallet that only contains bitcoin that we want to used to buy in Amazon, and it is like special wallet that we not filled if not want to buy some stuffs.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I too see no advantage from using this service over anything else like Purse that functions very similarly and has a much better UI. I'm going to stick to Purse or just buying gift cards from other places, as this particular site seems rather new and doesn't have much reputation. This site still seems interesting with the options of buying and selling BTC, though fees seem pretty high for both buying and selling.

If you're looking for a more reputable place to get Amazon GCs from, Bitrefill works. I've bought around $250 in AGCs from them recently, and I've always gotten the cards delivered in one confirmation or so. Bitrefill does use Bitpay as their payment processor, but something like DeBitpay works if your wallet doesn't support Bitpay links.

wow i just know about this news, so we can pay the amazon orders with ipayyou? i will check about ipayyou. maybe i will suggest my friend to use this services to pay some goods on amazon via ipayyou
Somehow here in my country amazon store is accessible but I do not know if they already used crypto for payment. It is good news that they involved on this and got more faster payment system. I know a person who uses amazon, it is good thing when they also used crypto to buy products and services there.

If the news is authentic then it will be one of the best achievements of bitcoin. But I have a little bit doubt is amazon accepted bitcoin to buy products? Amazon is one of the largest e-commerce sites we know so now, people will buy something on Amazon by using bitcoin. Thanks, Amazon for accepting bitcoin.
It is not Amazon accepting bitcoin, but an independent service (with an uncertain and shady reputation) providing payments in USD for you, while you pay them in bitcoin. It is something completely different, wouldn't you think?

Yes, but the idea of the concept still remains to pay in amazon with your bitcoins

Still it is much different then Amazon accepting Bitcoin.

If I open a service and tell you "mate, you can pay me in bitcoin and then I buy things for you, whatever you want, groceries, computer hardware, clothing, just give me your list, moreover - I operate globally, because I will ship the goods regardless of your location and the merchant location", well, it is not the same as global bitcoin acceptance, and moreover, probably everybody would be too scared to pay me in the first place. I would be.

I dont think Amazon will ever accept bitcoin as payment .
What everybody afraids off is bitcoin' volatility.
If Amazon company sells from its warehouses today, let's say $500,000 worth products but in bitcoin, tomorrow their $500,000 bitcoins  could worth $300,000 .
Whos gonna cover the volatility losses ?
To be immune to volatility, Amazon has to sell every day the bitcoin to get $$$$ and i doubt there will be a company willing to buy huge amounts of bitcoins everyday as long as bitcoin payments are available if there will be massive sells for bitcoin.
Unless they sign a partnership with lets say, Coinpayments but a 3rd party company will want to get its comission + miner fees so the price of a product in bitcoin will be enough expensive to make people to not use this feature.
(Ive seen this on a website with bitcoin alternate payments using a 3rd party company and the prices of the product in bitcoin are  WAY TO HIGH, thats why i can't afford to waste to much money on comissions so i would never pay in bitcoin there)

And again, i doubt there will a 3rd party company willing to buy all the Amazon's bitcoins. Luckily the selling in bitcoin volume wont be really high due to its volatility so a 3rd party company could officially buy Amazon's bitcoins everyday .
So Amazon if doesn't find a big, powerful and legal 3rd company (such as paypal) to buy the bitcoins everyday then the bitcoins payments feature wont be available.
I'm pretty sure Amazon have enough money to hire blockchain specialists and analysts so they can accept directly bitcoins, but i think they prefer to have a 3rd company willing to buy the bitcoins everyday to avoid exposure to bitcoin volatility at all.
Theyre seling enough and make huge profit so they dont need profit from the bitcoin increasing price over time (HODL  Grin) but they do not want to lose money from volatility.

I agree they will never accept bitcoin for those reasons. But you can still buy in amazon with bitcoin using ipayyou.com or purchase.io  Grin Grin Smiley

Will purse.io help when we have a problem buying goods on Amazon like the items received defect physically or don't arrive at the destination? If does then it will be easier for us to buy using purse.io on Amazon plus we will get a purchase discount. and if does not then it will harm us where we will have difficulty to complain items that have physical defects/not reaching the destination we bought from Amazon using purse.io, because we don’t but directly from Amazon using our Amazon account but we use a 3rd party services to buy on our behalf to deal directly with Amazon.
So in my opinion we’d better buy using our Amazon account to buy from Amazon so it will be safer with Amazon policies. Not difficult to exchange bitcoins we have into fiat to spend on Amazon without using purse.io just because of discounts.

I don't think they will. They're just the payment facilitators and have nothing to do with the suppliers or the logistics. You should be able to ask about that to the amazon customer support using the order number.

You can also use Purse[1], and you can get discounts too! I've read decent reviews about it though I really haven't tried it myself. If only Amazon doesn't charge abysmal internetional shipping fees.
Be careful there! They're having issues with refunding orders lately.

Never heard of ipayyou. So people should be careful when using such services with less reputation. Anyways, you can also buy amazon giftcards from reputed shops online that sell those cards for bitcoin. Much safer option I guess. Or you can use purse.io like others mention, but as far as i know, there are some countries they do not support.

Yeah sure buying with your Amazon account directly it is better and safer. But if you have bitcoins and you want to sell them quickly or use them and you don't find a buyer you can spend it with purchase.io or ipayyou.com

You can check the reputation of this  payment service in https://www.cryptocompare.com/wallets/ipayyou/, they have 3 of 5 stars. Also, the CEO of ipayyou.com Gene Kavner worked for Amazon (He was the worldwide director of the Amazon Associates program and principal architect for display advertising at Microsoft.) So that can calm you a little bit. Smiley

Amazon has now implemented good things for a technology like Bitcoin, Amazon can put the position of Bitcoin for media sales like money. so I think this is a good thing for buyers on Amazon, especially crypto users, so this makes sales easier.
Indeed it’s easier for us to purchase and sell at Amazon using crypto but it uses a 3rd party based on our name and our address, actually it's just the same as using fiat but the bitcoin we give to the 3rd party will be converted to fiat and then spent on amazon, and get a discount, because they buy a lot of goods through their account on behalf of the name and address of the users who use their services.
