As of for me, I don't think I have any ways to earn in this kind of market. I still consider myself as new to cryptocurrency and haven't really invested in anything. So for me, the only way I could earn money is to wait for the market to go green and pull out some money and invest on something really good.

You can gain some profit even on the bear market, just like short on some altcoin.
It's very risky but can make big profit if you're ready enough

You can trade in any platform that allows you to short coins and not only in bitmex but it seems that it is getting really popular and it has a huge volume so it can be a good place to start, just remember that shorting is only meant to be used for professionals that have gotten profits out of the markets for a long time, a novice trying to short will probably lose his money.
