As much as you have a good purpose of having a scientific research, but I don't see anyone will sponsor you with 3 BTC. I mean that's huge and with the current bear market, people are holding their bitcoin specially for those who have bought it above the current price. Sorry to burst the bubble to you, but I don't think you can find someone who's willing to sponsor your work.

Agreed. It's not exactly the most scientifically important sounding topic. Is this type of research going to go into the annals of history like the Darwin's, Tesla's, or the Feynman's of the world?

I don't understand why somebody in here should be interested in sponsoring this, there is nothing noble or publicly useful coming from this research, unless you have a business. I mean it doesn't really belong here imo 

Maybe you should ask contributions from companies interested in the matter.
