BittWare would like to provide the following updates on the CVP-13 FPGA board for those who have pre-ordered or are considering this product for purchase. Overall, the program is going well from our initial prediction of late November shipping and board performance. Details follow.

Production boards arrived at BittWare's facilities mid-November. We began shipments to Squirrels on Nov. 30th.

Orders are still open for the CVP-13 on the Squirrels store for delivery in December: https://store.squirrelsresearch.com/sqrl/cvp13/

We recently published a live demonstration of our board at the SC18 show running our test load and liquid cooling: https://youtu.be/3AEoTxVuDFQ

We would like to answer a few FAQs as well:
The CVP-13 will come with an encryption key enabling the Allmine Shell but also allowing for non-encrypted FPGA loads.

The board?s BMC is part of an exclusive BittWare system with built-in real-time board heath monitoring and allows the user to adjust, among other things, FPGA voltage. The BMC also protects the FPGA/board from damage due to temperature or power extremes.

Those opting for liquid cooling (and non-hosted) will receive boards with cold plates pre-installed on the FPGA and power supplies, including the fittings and hose between the FPGA cold plate and power supply cold plate. Customers should not plan on removing these cold plates for any reason as this will void the warranty and also requires a special process for removal. The in/out fittings that screw into the FPGA and power supply cold plates for connecting to the customer?s pump will not be pre-installed but will be provided along with hoses in the box. Customers are expected to connect these fittings to the cold plates and provide suitable fittings, hoses, liquid, and pump system for completing the liquid cooling system.

Thank you,
BittWare staff
