This is not a good advice because asking for tips, or, in other words, "begging", in chats is usually frowned upon and you can even get muted for that for a long period of time, and in some cases for ever. Nevertheless, you can still get some good tips in chat, but not when asking for it but when you help others with good advices, or you say something really funny in the chat or when you win in a quiz/trivia, or if you just very active and then rainbot tips you etc. But I disagree with @supermine and I agree with you in general, that chat on a gambling site can be fun, because I really like talking to people in those chats.

I’d highly recommend you add in a tab to use emojis in the chat box of your casino. Emojis are a great way for chatters to convey emotion, and I like to use them whenever possible, especially when I’m trying to do something for entertainment like in gambling. I don’t use the chat box of casinos often, but it’s always interesting to speak to other people online and talk about their experiences on the site.

I think it's already given that chatbox should have emojis. You know nowadays, chatters commonly used emojis to express how they feel and what their feelings towards their chatmates. So what more towards their co gamblers in the community where it involves money.

If you would be drafting a chat section for a gambling site, I would suggest to make the design simple and visible. Most of the chat sections are TOO colorful which is a bit disturbing in the eyes of some players, also, it would look more simple, complementing its function. 'Fixed expressions and phrases' would also help because some people are lazy enough to chat what they think at first. Emojis of course would do. The most important part I think is to where it would be placed when displayed, either at the bottom or right side would be good, in my opinion.

Will it really be that helpful? you have a good point but, really? I thought such thing do not matter that much, and what matters the most is the bonuses, rewards, and discounts.

In my opinion, it is really that beneficial for the players because that's what I have experienced, promotions would be fun at first but since you will more often lose, you'll find another gambling site which offers another promotion, might be bigger than the previous one, but same thing would happen as a cycle. Community made  me stay because they helped me to be mindful with how much I am gambling, and it is just that the experience is priceless, with good people.

I recommend you to have a chat box that have the nationality chat box in which people that are of the same community can talk each other about the site itself. Add emojis to chat because it makes the chat more interesting.

When you do online gambling, you are all alone with computer/ website in front of you. You cannot talk to anyone, cannot express your emotions while playing gambling online. Chat is the only option available for you to chat with other people and in few cases talk with support.

Of course it'll be different for a gambling site since you'd want only your registered members to be able to chat within your site but it's likely there are already available scripts that can be used.

Hopefully you'd find one that'll have multiple channels - a single chatbox tend to get cluttered.

I don't think that chatting in the gambling platform is very good.
For me it is very distracting and sometimes I lose my thought and my concentration on gambling because I have looks at the chat. There should be another place to chat with other people that should not be visible when gambling.

Of course, there must be a chat option in the gambling site. Because I think there is a lot of functionality of chat on gambling sites. If gambling site has chat options, then all can know other people what to do now? If there is a chat option on gambling site then the fun of gambling has multiplied. People tend to enjoy more playing with someone else and chats give that impression for sure.

However, any chat should have rules for sure. If you don't enforce certain rules or norms into people it will be a disaster in a not so long amount of time. Of course the enforcement part comes with a moderator or more than one, depending on the needs and budget.

In some games where people play against each other, it might get messy. Now something to look out for could probably be bots, implementing an anti-bot anti-spam system can be really useful and save a lot of annoyances along the way.

The chat box turns out to be a troll box if no one moderates it and no rules are imposed. Most of the casino has actually different set of rules to keep the chat clean. I think if you embed things, whatever the function, chat or trollbox or even support ticket, it is the easiest option but somehow for me it always slows down the site, unless you route all the traffic through your own server. Especially for people like me,,, sometimes we are forced to use VPN or other means of access, because our ISP blocks traffic,,, when the internet connections is on 3 or 4 different servers because of the additional embeds, makes things very difficult for us to connect to the entire service.

And there's often the option to mute bro for people who doesn't like chatting with others.  I think it's a good functionality. I usually read chats when idle time or waiting for a result. In a way, it makes up for a real casino experience where you get to mingle with other gamblers in the community.
