Why do we need bitcoin in the modern world?

I think it is because technology keeps advancing. We need apply e currency for faster, easier and convenient transactions.

Exactly  .   we are now on a modern world , that is why we also need to go with the flow .   bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general is the most suitable payment system to be used  on it because cryptos are the most advance so far between other's out there  but we arent also forced to used them because there is no rules so far that restricts the use of local currencries  .

Fiats on the other hand wont ever be vanished because they are still the most legal payment system even if we say that we are now on the future .

One of the reason is because bitcoin allows the user to send payment to another person with low transaction cost. In the past, whenever I am sending money to someone overseas, I would always have no choice but to use either Paypal or my local bank and the fees they charged me was relatively high, this caused me to incur a lot of unnecessary costs and I am glad bitcoin was created to give me new option whenever I am sending money overseas.
