That is not surprising if another coin is surprising another one on its rank.
Check the past and see on how many coins were on the top before and where they are right now. There's no need to be surprised just because of this. Crypto is volatile and it can go high, low anytime and these coins can replace each other anytime.

This is normal because the outperformers have been able to increase their volume and value when most of the others were collapsing, personally i still hope eth will come back stronger soon and will regain its number 2 spot.

The list is dynamic so there's no surprise. The only surprise came to me when I saw ETH was beaten by Ripple for the first time one month back.
Secondly, I would be happy is BCH goes out of top 10 list. He literally taught us how to ruin his creation and he is having it now. VER and his shitcoin doesn't deserve to be in the top 10. I mean it!

Bitcoincash or know now as BCHABC had a massive fall in the market after then are been unlock.
I figure it out and knew that it will happen.
Ethereum fell big also and give the door open to XRP to go 2nd but this will not last long.

I think that only in the case when the Ripple bypassed the Ethereum by capitalization - it was an accident. in the rest of those blockchains that took the lead they are really stronger

It is normal that some coins switch their positions with others. The coins has their own development cycles and they perform better /worse in some time period. Plus the market is volatile and it is nothing that should surprise us.

I have no idea about that. i don't even care whatever the price is right now. They are all still getting the bearish trend and that's ridiculous for me personally. I hope the rebound will be back as soon as possible. The market doesn't make sense for me dude. |

honestly will this replacement bring about any change in the market. they all are good move. The milestone between XRP and Ethereum is wide. could it be the bitcoin cash war gave Stellar a huge opportunity to move pass bitcoin cash. we might see lots of changes in the coming future. the downtrend of Bitcoin cash might see EOS move up.

Did CMC release a list of top 10 coins? Do they ever do such thing? Saying that released a list sounds like they dropped a list of they think are top 10 cryptocurrencies, which isn't the case. These coins you've mentioned are on the positions they are on CMC based on their marketcap and trade volume, and as far as I know, those positions aren't permanent. The crypto space is highly volatile, and you find coins shuffling positions at given times based on the amount of attention they're getting at the time. |

Crypto is always very dynamic and those coins increasing in value means that their community is getting bigger or the price is being manipulated a lot. We'll see in the coming years which coins will survive and if bitcoin can be dethroned as the King. |

I was surprised by the fact the Ripple overcame Ethereum. It is pretty strange and I am asking myself a question, why people are investing in centralised solutions on the crypto currencies market. It makes no sense for me.

Those are the collected data from the exchanges the volume and market cap, i am surprised by the word released, cmc is where we get data of each cryptocurrency daily, the information is there for everybody to see each day.

What surprised me more was the displacement of eth by xrp, the battle had happened a few times but it seemed xrp won this time and it is maintaining a wide margin. The BCH on its own is already a dead coin, I wouldn't be surprised to see it below the top 50

The coins position are always changing, people just started to notice when XRP beaten Ethereum, if you check alts in 101-200 they used to be in top 100 in the past.
