News Huh

We've just released the block explorer here:

https://hashblaster.com/#blockchain_blocks

Also a paper wallet generator:

https://watt3r.github.io/paper-aeon/

So, let me understand this... you've forked TurtleCoin and renamed it "Aeon Classic." How does that make any sense?

Aeon is about slow, careful, and professional development led by highly experienced Monero developers.

This is not that.

That's correct, the TurtleCoin codebase was used instead of Aeon's. We used the name more because we're trying to recreate the vision of the coin.

So how is this different from Aeon now?

Is AEON not currently privacy oriented, fast, and lightweight?

It is indeed. The naming is certainly not meant as an affront to AEON, if anything it is a testament to how great of a coin it is.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Aeon's vision has never changed. What exactly are you trying to recreate?

This is just a early release Aeon fork, or is there actually any goals for development for the coin to seperate itself from the rest of the pack?
I'd like to see a road map implemented in the near future, thanks.

Hi. We're going to release a full roadmap that shows our development goals, but as I said in the main post our main focus is on private and lightweight. We're actively working on an android wallet at the moment.

How can I get a aeon classic, is it available on the exchange? I also didn't find the explorer block, can you give me the link?

It is not yet available on any exchange, however, you can mine it here: http://95.179.197.19  the difficulty is pretty low still

Aeon has an Android wallet, and iOS wallet.. I guess I just don't see how reducing block-time (effectively doubling the speed block-chain size increases) is focusing on lightweight.

I was going to say something about giving the benefit of the doubt, but I call it how I see it and this a useless fork.

Appreciate all your guy's input. Here's an official blockchain explorer we've just released:

https://explorer.aeonclassic.org/

It uses an experimental API that stores blockchain data in a cache in order to make it faster developed by TurtlePay™

Webwallet should hopefully be out soon!

Ceть pacтёт! Oфициaльный пyл нe paбoтaeт. Дopoжнoй кapты нeт.  He paзaчapoвывaй людeй, инaчe мoнeтy ждёт кpax.
The network grows! The official pool does not work. No road map.  He razocharovala people, or the coin will fail.
