ETH USD going down has two POSITIVE EFFECTS:

1. Reduces the interest in the space for short-term focused investors;
2. It also reduces the interest in the space for projects aiming to quickly raise money on hype and never deliver.

Perhaps it's the perfect time we wise up about this domain - investors need to do better and more research, have direct contact with teams and really look into the technology.

In fact, now there are no such projects that should be studied and invested in them, as now the market collapse. The only advantage in this is the opportunity to buy coins on the stock exchange at low prices.

Personally i think this massive dip below 100 bucks is a great buying opportunity, those who buy now and wait for some months can reap huge returns at the same time the market is really discouraging at the moment not only for short term investors but also the serious investors, i know people invested large sums into crypto last year especially eth just have a look at it, from 1400 highs it is now trading around 80 bucks which is a decline of like 15x or more and reversal does not seem to be around yet, so the situation is quite bad and we can do nothing but hope for good time to be back soon.

Discussing positive effects  of ethereum dump reminds me an effect called "Stockholm syndrome"

I think that we see a good example of manipulation.
Few weeks ago CEO of Bitmex Arthur Hayes said that Ethereum is useless coin with value under 100USD.

I think I agree with this. There's some serious price manipulation going in this at this time and these guys don't care if people lose money. Arthur Hayes made that comment a few weeks back and the current price reflects those comments. Some have even predicted ETH going as low as $2.

I wouldn't listen to those people that are bashing ethereum just because its falling. They can't see that the market's free fall is for every crypto and even bitcoin is affected with it.
This bear has a positive effect for long term investors, this eliminates the short termers and they are discouraged of it.

I believe that the team have generating the best thing in order to survive and sustain from crisis. But we don't know if they already applied it since there is no such improvement happen around beside everything will go deeper. We won't think it bad but sometimes it appears to our mind.

indeed in all things we have to be wise right, especially in a situation like this which prices are declining
at least we have not experienced a downturn or trauma with the price decline which is still not stable

One of the positive effect is, for most freshers, they can use this opportunity to short gain, It will be an instant money if they can utilize enough money and time for trading. For long term, they can cut loss if they have the guts to put more to average the initial investment.

Even so the level of positive effects is much smaller than the negative. Because ethereum have something big problems. I think the problem for ethereum is that a large number of owners got ethereum by selling their pipe dreams at ICO. Startups generally dream of pipes and some very payments. ICO as a substitute for venture capital is a big innovation but makes startup funding no less risky, full or unstable. And then a lot of ICO is scam, so ethereum has a bad image.

We can clearly sees that number of useless ICOs started from last year to this year so it is a good thing to have the reputation but if the prices keeps falling it may also the investors as well which makes no future for the crypto currencies.

Talking about Ethereum, it will not be far from the value, volume, and price right now, This is the coin that has a very dramatic drop, it drops more than 200%.Well, avoid the price, I don't know if it is called as positive or negative. However, the truth is that ETH is really facing that down trust from many investors. This coin has a very great concept. But unfortunately it cannot maintain it. For now, the only positive thing is that we can but the ETH in the very cheap price and hole them.

Yes I might agree that some non-significant projects will be discourage to be pursued due to very low price of ethereum. Somehow this would bring a negative feedback to them, and will result to high potential projects to be left here in cryptocurrency ecosystem which is good for cryptoenthusiasts. One of the biggest problems for investors is that they do not have a place where they can get proper investment information to inform their investment decisions. The sources out there like the ICO rating sites take money for delivering high ratings and can not be relied on.

For me the positive effects of ETH going down is that shakes weak hands off the market, it eliminates ICOs that are not worth investing, this will also discourages fraudalent people to put up ICO to scam innocent investors because ETH is very very low.

I disagree as we need all kinds of investors so that the real demand will increase that sometime i think that without regulation before the dirty money will be hidden inside crypto currency increasing the demand of crypto in which Ethereum platform will be the most benefited therefore every investor are important including the short term people.

i think we must not focus on the price of eth today since almost all coins are down considerably as much as eth.  the dev team might take this opportunity to tweak on the blockchain and work on to develop it to come up with upgraded version that will resolve the current issues eth blockchain is experiencing.  and when the market goes bull, eth will be among the most valued coins then.

Those who took huge profits know the value of ethereum also I don't understand what you are saying regarding some problem eth is facing. Let me know which coin is not experiencing the problem? Every coins are in it bad time not only ETH.
