Some legit and prospect altcoins do have chances to recover from the downtrend market along with the developments. So I think holding will be an option to gain profit. But for some other altcoins with no developments or seemed to fail projects, better sell fast.

If you are going to hold it long term, be sure you always get an update, sometimes developers are doing a coin swap and you might miss it and because of this, your coin will become useless because coin swap always has a limited period of time.

It’s sad but true, some altcoins will never recover from this crash. On the other hand crypto market is still very promising and it’ll keep growing in future. The key is being patient, there is nothing wrong to wait for a long time if you have a chance to make good money in the end.

Yes but not all altcoins worth holding for few years, some are just there for you to build your portfolio knowing fully well that not all team of projects have long-term goals for it. I don't agree that it requires a couple of years before you can make  back your lost money in cryptocurrency.
There are a few ways you can go about making money in cryptocurrencies, the most common is by trading and I would recommend the use of trading bots because volatility of the crypto market cannot be predicted but you can also invest in ico's to meet quick return on investment

however the current situation is very difficult to ensure which alt really has the potential to grow in the future or in the next few years.
especially on every new project.
I chose to exchange it for the top 10 altcoins, this could prevent huge losses in the future

this is the fact that we must accept, especially for new investors who join in some of the ico projects.

Switch your altcoins into Bitcoin. Look Bitcoin is the top performing crypto in top 100 (maybe BNB is better - but for how long?). People lost their patient and they want to buy more Bitcoins, not altcoins.

At this point in time, I'm sure majority of us had already loss a significant amount so you'll have no choice but to hold your remaining crypto and hope for a better price in the future. The problem is you'll never know when it will happen. If there is no clear development in a certain project, then sell it right away and look for a potential one.

Yes right, anyone cannot ascertain whether the project will be according to plan or not, we only hope that the market will soon improve so that it can immediately get a big profit.
