I don't think that any investors are profiting right now. I mean, they are able to buy low, sure, but then the prices go down even lower, so they are kind of losing money like everyone else. Nobody's controlling the market, it's just stupid individuals falling for FUD and smarty pants egoistic individuals who are consciously contributing to the dump in order to buy the cryptos even cheaper. These two categories of people migt be massive enough to cause all these problems. As for those who profit - I can only think of those betters who put money on crypto price prediction and rightly guess when the prices will drop.

It is not right to be able to manage Blockchain. As far as I know no one has the power to handle it. It is possible to influence to the price from the edge and the whales that have enough money to affect to the price can do this. ''The paper money'' created by the states that can be managed.

I believe every current crypto investor is in ruins right now, be you a whale or whatever. I am very sure almost all of us both cryptos at far above the current market prices, therefore, no one is profiting for now. Only future profit may be possible for those who can buy now, and sell at higher prices in the future.

Since the start of 2018 I saw fall and only fall in prices. earning is possible in fluctuating or rising markets only.  So investors in net loss.

Only ICO teams made huge money.  But now ICOs are also failing.  They are not being able to collect sufficient funds. 

Bounty hunters are also losing.  They are not being paid for their labor because ICOs not getting positive response. 

There is just negativity in the markets.  IMO it is in response to the cheater ICO projects, and so new projects are not getting response because investors have already been cheated.

the "bear market" can benefit any trader as long as they are actually traders with some basic experience not newbies playing at trading. you can always use many different strategies to make profit during drops of a bear market including shorting but also other things like buying the dips and selling it back after recovery,...

but don't confuse any drop with a bear market. for example i don't consider the drop below $6k as a part of bear market. i call it manipulation. and during times like this only the manipulators make profit because there is no way for others to analyze the market and know what is going to happen so they can't take any appropriate action. you can try and risk a lot but it is not wise.

For now it's rather difficult to say investment in cryptocurrency is profitable, if you look at the current market situation, but it depends on each individual in thinking for the future and confidence. investment may be as long as it is ready for risk, if the crypto price rises and if the crypto price drops the risk awaits.

Seriously? No one? The one who benefited to this dump market are the one who didn't panic and those who accumulate more and utilize this season. Of course not to mention the whales and those who manage exchanges. Though this crash has shaken weak hands and short term trader will leave the market sooner, the one who remain here will reap what they sow during the storm. The one that benefit from crypto market is the whales and the manipulators, they want to make the price as cheap as possible, if the price continue the slide down the investors and the users trust will keep on declining, this is a dangerous situation for crypto because once bitcoin slide too far, tge investors will invest in other things, investors doesn't care about the technology they just want profit, so this huge sliding and manipulation is not going to benefit anyone in a long term

Merchants usually convert straight to fiat so most of them couldn't care less about these wild price swings.  Anyone that shorted the market recently made a lot of money as well.  Then you have the crypto exchanges that make money no matter how the market is doing.  The same goes for crypto gambling websites.
