I don't support that theory. What is the reasonable explanation that by not buying Bitcoin cash we could "save" Bitcoin. I don't see any connection. It's true, I didn't see the sense in forks when all this Bitcoin derivate coins appeared but now they are here at the market and you can't stop people buying them. But they don't influence Bitcoin directly and they don't represent any danger for Bitcoin so I can't see the point in that.

Everyone must make sure that the bitcoin Jesus himself Mr. Roger Ver doesn't make an appearance here!
As the World's first Investor in Bitcoin startups including Bitcoin.com, Blockchain.com, Z.cash, BitPay, Kraken, and Purse.io, he may disagree with this thread.
He is a firm believer that Bitcoin Cash works as peer to peer cash better than BTC does.
I do not choose to buy coins that are forked cause it goes against what I actually believe in.

I define the forks based on the diff to the white paper to the protocol and I always end up here for the cleanest one

I think that Bitcoin was able to defend against BitcoinCash attack  . Most people understand that Bitcoin Cash is a fraud and do not buy it.

This dump was triggered by the battle of the hashes. If we remove bch and bsv from having any value it would discourage more pointless bitcoin dilution, and prevent further hash wars.

Failure to act will cause more similar situations in the future

I agree because it will help to decrease bitcoin competitors and also help lesses the hash wars. The demand will not subdevided instead they will focus on real bitcoin with higher value.

Personally I have sold all my Bitcoin Cash long time ago, but the thing with BitcoinCash are, that if Bitcoins one days goes to 100k or beyond most people will most likely stop using Bitcoins when they shop, and just hold Bitcoins as a store of value, making the Bitcoins price go even higher, then other crypto’s cut ends up as the day to day crypto, here I really see a good potential for Bitcoincash

I will not agree to this because is just like we should not buy any altcoins too but we just focus our money of buying Bitcoin currency only. Although literally speaking this will trully save Bitcoin from falling but still i believed that Bitcoin cash is also a promising investment in which no matter how many Bitcoin cash and Altcoins that we have but still in the end it will be traded for Bitcoin to earn more fiat therefore no need to boycott any coins.

I agree. The thing that so many people fail to understand is that pulling away hash power from Bitcoin is detrimental to the entire cryptocurrency market in the short term as well as the long term and the current Bitcoin cash debacle is the perfect example to demonstrate this particular problem.

I think this is not related at all. The fall of Bitcoin and the market in general is more dependent on another (for example, on the banal supply and demand)...  Embarrassed

The competition between hashes is really important to the growth of bitcoin as we know that the greater of percentage of hash a coin have will be the dominant force above the other coins. The value is not always depend on the hash a coin is generating but on the demand of it as it grows  stronger in the industry market. Let us just be patient on the market cycle of bitcoin and keep on gaining knowledge about the fundamentals of bitcoin and the blockchain technology.

I think that using bitcoin cash well might be profitable. well, I see the development of the rise and fall of bitcoin cash so fast. however, selling it faster, or converting it into bitcoin might be a good step in this matter.

How if we use bitcoin like precious things and we use bitcoin as the long-term investment and use bitcoin cash for daily income by trading? I think it will be good for us because we have the main investment which we are no worry about the price and meanwhile, we have another source to get money from bitcoin cash and another coin. It sounds good because when bitcoin can increase higher, the other coins with bitcoin cash inside, will also increase higher too and it means we can get more profit.

Right, people are involving into shitcoins to get more profits in shorter time as strong coins don't give you huge profits in short time. This trend also causes recent dump of Bitcoin price. If investors are very aware, they will not invest in shitcoin, then market will be strong. BCH has an impact on Bitcoin price too.

Bitcoin cash has virtually ended and we have two new coins... Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin SV. Both are fighting for the mining power, and both coins have no real use. They are manipulated by the whales that's why we see so much pump and dump in them. I would suggest to boycott BCH, as it is not good for the digital currencies stability.

The real use of BSV is to BE the only correct impl following the original client and white paper's purpose of p2p electronic cash. So yes. It has the best use case I can see in Bitcoin.

Onchain scaling is the right thing and keep the 10y proven security model up and running.

Blah blah blah, nobody cares. People can live with changes to what was outlined in the original whitepaper (which was far from a perfect entity by the way -- its not the bible or something) if it means not having an emotionally unstable egomaniac at the helm, such as Ver or Wright.

BSV is not bitcoin; its a fork of Bitcoin Cash, which is also not bitcoin. Reliance on the marketing tactic of inducing confusion among your potential buyers is no plan at all, and you should have realized that after BCH's failure.

Yes, indirectly the presence of BCH, is indeed the main cause of the breakup of the bitcoin community,
I hope they soon realize and return to using bitcoin, before truly regretting later
Nobody can stop the forks from happening. Bitcoin cash and bitcoin SV will not be the end of it as long as enough members of the community think they have a better protocol for the currency and create new versions as a result.

I don't think Bitcoin cash will be the reason for price drop of Bitcoin because there is no connection between both backlash for each currency and Bitcoin value will be reduced by mainly the huge withdrawal of the investor so we cannot put any case and other reasons.

We'll see it later. Bitcoin will on the top of cryptocurrency and bitcoin cash and bitcoin sv behind on bitcoin. It's hard to beat bitcoin right now although they have a better protocol. People still believe in bitcoin, and they still prefer to invest their money in bitcoin. Bitcoin itself doesn't need to be saved but bitcoin will give a proves to us that bitcoin can survive and even it will raise the price to the higher price.

You can't stop them, because they are more concerned with their own profits, they don't care about the adoption of bitcoin or whatever, what they think is only profits, profits and benefits.
Where there are coins that are profitable, there they go

Bitcoin can’t bring down by any coin even that BCH, if you don’t want to get into shitcoins the make a good research. BCH make impact on the price of btc because it is being hype that time, and it makes the market dump. Hopefully this year, only strong coins will remain and yeah bitcoin will still be unstoppable.

I think that external factors don't really affect Bitcoin as much as the internal factors. Another coin will get the treatment as it deserves but while talking about Bitcoin, we need to focus on improving the adoption of it as well as the utility value of the same. Legal recognization would definitely help for the growth in the adoption rate but users should put some efforts to explain this innovation to others. Anything else is just secondary in my honest opinion.

Many investors hold bitcoin, this will not reduce the strength of bitcoin even though many investors also buy BCH.
Nobody can stop having a BCH, all just want to have profits, that's what they do.
