Frauds and scams were a heavy blow to icos that's for sure. 2018's ico supoort decline is proof of that. Sadly, even legitimate icos that have good potential suffered from this. Probably in a few years, given that some icos can prove their worth, it can again regain steam.

Yes, that thing is not something that we used to know, but no doubt STO is our future replacing our current ICO. Just like IPO changed to ICO.
even though Security Token is something special compared to ICO, I believe the changes will not be that significant and it will be more like a token with a little 'law' behind it.
but it can not be considered or on par with those digital stocks which is very hard to have. Of course, we can have it as long as we are giving them complete information about ourself.

ICO this year will be more tougher when it comes to getting investors trust due to previous year experience, and i think it would be hard for them to gather required funds for their project.

I will not invest any more of my money for ICO projects. these are fraudulent projects and trash projects created by a greedy crowd.
They promise a lot of things, they will make the project achieve hard-cap and they will do the right route. But the 3 projects I invested in, PDATA, Current, Bitnautic did not do it and even the advisor ignored our messages and saw us as garbage. ICO should be removed from the market.

i believe that the days of ICO scams are nearly over because they over did it in the past year and scammed so many people out of so much money that people are now caught up with the method and are more aware of it now.

as you can see the death of ICOs have already started with them failing to raise any money and many of them closing down with an embarrassment. they need to come up with a new method of scamming people now.

I also think that this year will filter all the existing ICOs and all unprofitable, unused or scam projects will be cleaned or be blacklisted. I agree that more people are now becomming aware of scams and we are more obeservamt now than last year. We learned from the past and we make the environment safer this year.

Unfortunately this is the truth, icos started really well and most of the successful projects in the market started that way but now the market has been invaded by scammers that only care about getting profits and deceiving their investors, so slowly investors have lost confidence in the market and once you lose something as important as that there is no coming back, even if the market begins to make a come back I doubt icos will regain its previous glory.

Well so far ICO is getting better now compared to what is the status last year so i hope we’ll go in good faith this second quarter and up.

Hopefully we had already reached the bottom line so the growth of prices is on our way now,2018 is the darkest days of ICO when almost all of the ICO decided to Paused,stopped and some even scammed because of the dumping market.

I do not think there will be so much room for ICOs for some special reasons.
This type of product is one of those responsible for regulatory agencies are chasing cryptocurrencies.
This is because positively speaking, ICOs have brought millions and millions of dollars into this market.
The problem is that there are many unsuspecting people and if they were able to filter the projects, maybe the ICOs still had space in 2019.

Its really important to look at the factors in ICos very carefully before investing. And one should not invest more than 10% in one ICO.

There will be no change at all with the fate ico in 2019, why should be pessimistic about this. we can't avoid the fact that every time finish ico, the price is always below the purchase price of ico itself and some are even worse off. but will it eliminate ico's growth? obviously not at all, he will keep going.

if changing ICO to become an STO security token offering, it is very good but the question for us is: what about countries that are still not legal / neutral, can STO be implemented ...?
