Simple because the government had shown nothing good with bitcoin of its scam ICO projects that the system does not even wanting to solve the problem. Many are taking advantage on scamming activities using the bitcointalk forum and the bitcoin system. I just hope that they will take this problem seriously and should make some way to prevent or minimize scamming activities.

Yes, many countries try to ban bitcoin and stop bitcoin forever. Bitcoin is a digital currency and nowadays people are interested in bitcoin and also invest their money. people can easily send their black money other people or country using bitcoin.S o as result a government and bank both getting loss for bitcoin but its useful and profit for general people.

maybe they see the price of bitcoin is just a bubble. like a soap bubble which will disappear by itself. as happened at the end of 2017 the price soared. and now it's gone just become history and back memories

Yes right, because the government aims to protect its citizens from the losses made by Crypto investments, basically everything depends on the person who made the investment, so Bitcoin is not wrong, it all depends on the person who made the investment, because Crypto is clearly an investment high risk.

They are nothing but a hypocrite. My country central bank officials and some big bankers are involved in crypto trading, yet they don't openly support it. Before the public, they term it a Ponzi scheme while they enjoy the benefit of the volatility in trading and any possible bull run. They just want to see how to tax it and not to protect investors.

It's not as bad as you're trying to make it, there is no mass attack or prohibition against the bitcoin,only but very few countries have tried to stop it's trade in their countries for diverse reasons best known to them

Every government have their own reason but mostly many government ban bitcoin because government think bitcoin used for money laundering and criminal activity. Its not true because most money laundy case using fiat money. Bitcoin still have little transaction volume compare with fiat money transaction in banks and i think there is no reason for government ban bitcoin

Bitcoin is freedom because it is decentralized and governments did not want a decentralized system.  Bitcoin, take power from governments and give it to the people financially and that is what our politicians will not like.  Blockchain technology discovered is one of the greatest discovered of mankind and you should remember that anything that will help humanity is not always accepted by the governments.
We believe that the future is bright and we just need to allow bitcoin to be and in future governments has no option than to accept it.

in my opinion also, on the other hand the government does not want the spread of bitcoin to be too broad because what is feared is the price fluctuation of this cryptocurrency. We are aware that this turbulence if for example they use the country's economy on this matter, it can suffer enormous losses. Therefore they tried and urged the public to avoid these risks.

reason that i know is they only want to make their users safe, it means bitcoin and all crypto sometime, maybe not sometime but there are a lot of project that harm investors, and some investor loss their money because not profit from it. Maybe because of that.
