You are right. You don’t buy a coin based on being cheap or not. There are lots of cheap coins in the market, but if you should buy based on that, you will be losing cause majority of them are not worth it. Ripple is cheap and it’s also a good coin, so you can buy it. As for Bitcoin, you can buy in fractions (satoshis) if you don’t have enough money to buy one full Bitcoin. Even Ethereum is cheap now. If you want to buy coins, buy the good ones and not looking for something cheap.

I do see almost 90% of investors from this forum are using coinmarketcap for referring and finalizing the coins for their portfolio but not sure how effective this will be as they are listing coins for payments. I mean we should not choose just based on their ranking systems.

Agree, cheapest coin does not mean its profitable coin. Its better choose coin with good product and having big community. Investment base on the price seem not right and investment base on project looks good option. If we invest on large market cap, its must be a good coin with good liquidity in market
