I fell for it, yes its my fault, I just want this here to protect other people

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5075278.0

I am seriously interested but I am in the UK and worried about the price, it might make it not worth it for me, do you mind getting a shipping quote for ~LOCATION EDITED~ and give me your best price please?

Sorry for the delay I've been away for work... I can do 300$ USD, the BTC equivalent, shipped to south Wales.

thanks for getting back to me, I will take it if it has not been claimed all ready, your trust is good so I am ok paying directly, if this is ok, let me know with btc addy and I will let you know my address, thanks.

Unclaimed so far.. Send your address information and cell phone contact so I can reach you with shipping receipts, and i'll get it in the mail for your tomorrow morning after BTC deposit. It'll be two day USPS priority shipping. Sometimes 3 days based upon location..

My BTC address is listed below:

1HHnJwhD4wAugtjWwmRcmWqRpmKEX8MEF4

then another user posted in the thread he had paid up too, so defiantly a scam.

Sent him the crypto 36 hrs ago, havent heard back from him since paying. Hoping he ships out the card today.

why did we? a full, member with trust and post history of trades.

oh yeah was that good for you as it was for me, thanks so much for trying to tear me a new one, did you miss the title, or was you more interested in the porn inside here, thanks for pointing out all my troubles and attacking me directly, to repeat YES I FELL FOR IT, I wont waste more time in explaining this fact, actually I will, a little rebuttal if you please.

first, yes I did look at his account, I saw no problem, and I was not the only one, your view is only valid in retrospect there are alot of people here asking for hacking services, I am not to judge, his story of past history checks out, plenty of people dont post for long periods and then trade, also with stuff that was not for sale originally, I have done this in my business, holding back what I need to run, then sell when I upgrade, this did not cross your mind?
secondly, you don't seam to understand trust, the date was not so important as there was no "this account has changed its password recently" or the like, this was not a noob account.

to further my point, I have traded here successfully here with much lesser accounts, for more money than this, And I got compliant, And suffered a little loss, this was posted here to just let people know, your views against me with bold red letters is not welcome in my thread, I am not stupid, just got complacent, I am human.

to everyone else, I have had two replies on this user details, this account might have been sold, but I will reach out anyway, if its correct you will both get the money, I will also pay for any more info. obviously if found to be correct.

The best thing to do in the meantime is for you and the other guy to leave negative feedback on his profile! If two community members really did get scammed, then there needs to be two negative trust feedback posts left on his profile so he won't be able to scam anyone else with the account he used!

Sucks you got ripped off like that and I know the feeling. Just think though. If you had seen any negative trust feedback on his profile, you likely wouldn't be in this position. So, the best thing you can do is to prevent him scamming anyone else with that account!

cool, I done this, however the other user still holds hope he will send the card, if we both get one, I will remove neg rep, but I doubt it, I wrote my details in privnote.com and the note has not been read, so he does not have my details, we shall wait and see.

I left negative trust so he appears in the negative by default. I offered to buy the card too and he ignored me after I asked for him to send first or escrow.

taking a break - expect delayed responses

Regardless of the item that you buy, or the person that you deal with, as long as the deal is above $30, it's probably worth at least using some form of escrow protection, even if it's a free service. For low amounts, using Bitify would be better than nothing, even. $300 is definitely a sufficient enough amount to be using escrow.

Ranks of bitcointalk members are rarely a very good indicator of their trust level. That's just the hard truth on this forum. Unless there is clear indications that the user has been sent BTC first for goods before, always assume the worst. Accounts can be bought and sold, without you knowing at all.

Seems like you did learn your lesson, and obviously do not expect anything back at this point as it is extremely hard to track down anyone from their forum profiles alone. Hopefully you did learn a lesson though, and it's not just buying miners - it's buying anything off anyone.
