I came across this short documentary today. It has been published just yesterday, and I like that it shows crypto from a very positive perspective. The mainstream media love to describe it as a problem (a way for people to get scammed, lose money), but it's in fact an answer to a problem. It's important for people to notice and understand it.

Good video indeed.

This video shows the good side and bad side (frauds/schemes/scams) of using this technology, shows how bitcoin works, how poor will be helped with some blockchain company mentioned there, the overseas workers as using this tech as an alternative for remittances, and mostly its only explained as a work of money (sending and receiving).

But the only thing is it never explained how people will secure their money while using this tech since this is kinda target of hackers.

I like it that people in poor regions see an opportunity in Bitcoin. To us westerners it's an investment, to them it's a way to send money to their families and save themselves from hyperinflation. The only thing that I didn't like in the video was the lack of basics. At first you think it was made for the general public, but the majority still doesn't know and doesn't understand cryptocurrencies.

The most interesting part of this video are actually the comments under the video.
For me,this video doesn't tell anything.It's the popular perception of bitcoin and crypto.
It's a very "clickbait" or "advertising" type of video.Good video production,but little to no quality information inside.

This is a shocking news for me, especially in the use of bitcoin, which is increasingly going forward and improving in the market to become a practical digital exchange rate without the need to think about changes and also the money will be damaged due to other things.

The video shows that bitcoin is in fact a legit digital currency. People always thought that when we say bitcoin, they always think of it as a scam. Well in fact, some sites that involve bitcoin are the scam not the bitcoin itself. Experiences tells that bitcoin proves that we can have monetary transactions through it and that we can earn from it. So let us keep those people believe and realize that bitcoin is legit and that they only be scammed if they join sites or companies from which they are not sure if really returns their money back. The video is really helpful.

Great video, and it's not really those same videos overly-praising bitcoin for things it cannot solve, or things that aren't really done by bitcoin. More importantly, this tackles things that are really pushed by bitcoin to be changed e.g. how people handle money and how cheap, secure and fast money transfers can be. The video also tackled scams and things that falls within the same line, which I think is good since the public also needs to be educated with the potential dangers looming within the bitcoin ecosystem.

Thanks for the share. The documentary is very transparent albeit some lack of information, but then again this is not a technical documentary but rather just a brief sneak-peek into bitcoin and its strengths, alongside its weakness.

I have seen lots of positive publications about bitcoins, the blockchain and other digital assets.
Let's not view every negative coverage as FUD also, the media coverage are not always accurate, due to the fact that controversy sells, and that the state journalism is at now.

People should be aware of the good and bad sides of bitcoin.

Good documentation, it really describes our current condition. But apart from all that, bitcoin mining is indeed a big problem especially for electricity. Let's find a way to make electricity for bitcoin not swell.

No it's not! Electricity consumption is not a big problem for bitcoin and mining industry. If you compare it to the electricity consumption of mainstream minting process, bitcoin mining consumes a peanut.

Yes it may be a problem for the small miners who solely depend on the government provided electricity at the retail cost. They should look for an alternate source of electricity like solar panel to be installed in their rooftop. 

Otherwise, if we speak generally, bitcoin mining consumes much less electricity than mainstream government controlled minting operations.
