Bitcoin supplier: "I'll trade you a bunch of 0s and 1s for $15,000"

Bitcoin sucker: "Ok, sounds like a great deal to me"

Next Bitcoin sucker: "I want to buy some 0s and 1s also but only for $13,000"

Bitcoin supplier: "Sure thing, how many do you want?"

Next Bitcoin sucker: "How about selling me 3 for $10,000 a piece?"

Bitcoin supplier: "Yep, pay in cash, please."

Bitcoin supplier: "I'm running a real deal special. I'm selling 0s and 1s for $7500 each"

Bitcoin suckers: "I'll take some", "Me too", "save some for me", "I'll buy 1/2 your stash for $5000"

Bitcoin supplier: "Sunday's Special 0s and 1s on Sale for $3200"

Bitcoin suckers all together: "We have already bought a lot at higher prices. We are only losing each time you sell cheaper. What should we do?"

Bitcoin supplier: "Hodl and buy more"  Grin Grin Grin

I think that there are many reasons but the main one is that governments don't accept it and people are afraid of facing risks as well. However, I think that it is more than one factor

This is a humorous piece, In other words, the Bitcoin supplier sold off his assets when the price was at the all-time high, while the Bitcoin suckers, due to FOMO rushed in to buy citing that it had slightly dropped in price forgetting that the price drop was just only starting. Grin Grin

Some most even possibly panic sold as the price continued to drop and right now don't want anything to do with crypto trading

You reminded me of Morgan Stanley selling non existent gold to investors and even charging for storage.
This is simple. Whales took profit and moved out of bear market to other projects. Smaller investors like us are in fear and many have pulled out or don't want to invest.. We might be in bear market around 2.5k-6k for whole 2019

I mean there has been a great bubble of hype. Bitcoin hype everywhere. With bitconnnneeeeeect scandal I knew that it is time to pop the bubble. Also there might be big recession so relax and watch the people panic  Wink If you have money buy stuff at discount

In very nice way and a bit humoristically you described how the free market works.
This is the normal mechanism of any free market. When the demand grew, the price increases, when the demand falls, the price also decreases.

If anyone is truly bewildered by the massive drop in Cryptocurrencies over the last year then they clearly can't be familiar with trading in general. Anything in any market (stocks etc), that soars up in price in the fashion that these cryptocurrencies did, eventually need to face a correction (in this case 80%+). It is healthy for the market actually, it could never withstand the pace that it was going at.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on why you think is causing the drop in the price of Bitcoin. But I don't really think these are the cause of the drop in its price. In a decentralized system, people have the same opportunity to set the price at which they want to sell their digital assets. With regards to Bitcoin, those with large quantity of it determines the price at which it can be bought.

Government:   Give me $1000 in gold and I'll give you a piece of paper to represent it.

100 years later, that piece of paper buys 1/100th of what it originally did.

1's and 0's also provide immensely better security and portability than paper.

Hence, bitcoin.

Why is the price down?

Because it got too high for the current level of adoption and understanding.
That doesnt mean it has no value or will never go up again.

FIAT USD is backed by murder, if columbia doesn't sell its cocaine in USD, then the CIA goes in and changes cartel heads,

If saudi doesn't sell its oil to the world in USD, then CIA goes into Saudi and finds a new family to run the concession

At this point in time, BTC has no mercenary army to threaten death upon the world for failure to adopt.

Who don't believe in it can never see its power of changing the world for better but those who strongly believe in it will achieve all that is needed and losing it price is a kind of momentum gathering for the next take off which is the real deal and soon that will happen and the non believers will be here saying the user and supplier are changing the price for pump sake again .

The Development of Cryptocurrency in 2019, the Market has experienced a severe price correction to the point that some are starting to doubt the promises of blockchain in the future. However, despite all the losses and recent FUDs, fundamentals continue to grow, and 2019 promises to be a pleasant year in terms of project development and cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin suckers all together: "We have already bought a lot at higher prices. We are only losing each time you sell cheaper. What should we do?"

Bitcoin supplier: "Hodl and buy more"  Grin Grin Grin
This is very hilarious. But do you think that is the real reason for the drop in the price of Bitcoin? The crypto space is a decentralized environment where the market value of a particular is determined by the rate at which the coin is bought at a specific price within a particular duration in time. It is believed that people with the large quantity of a particular coin determines the market value for a specific time interval. The more you have, the more you can control the price of the coin at a point in time.

Bitcoin supplier: "Hodl and buy more"  Grin Grin Grin

and so say, the bitcoin cash suppliers, bitcoin gold suppliers, etc. there is no moral in this trash.

more and more trash being dumped on the person that trust that crap, and all bitcoin premine is beeing sold out, the market simply introduces a new coin and tries to shadow away bitcoins market influence.

everyone buying dash, bitcoin gold, or zcash should know that the developers of those cryptos will give a damn about their longterm success after they have sold their premine, like it was the case for litecoin.

all investors will be systmatically losers if they follow that trash

The only reason why bitcoin fell is the fact that it is still alive. This is a normal market operation when there are ups and downs. The one who understands it and doesn't give in to a general panic wins on it. Unfortunately, there are very few such people.

your money in the bank is 0s and 1s. your money in paypal is also 0s and 1s. when you buy gold these days you are receiving either 0s and 1s or your receive a worthless piece of paper telling you that you bought gold. and you are complaining about bitcoin being 0s and 1s Cheesy you sound like a 90 year old woman who is confused about the new technologically advanced world.

There is a FOMO brewing...

I believed that the regulations contributed big to this downfall in which many investors are now in difficult to join the investments. Before the regulation, anyone can invest in Bitcoin including the dirty money in which the bad guys will use the Bitcoin to hide their assets but now that regulation is fully implemented then these bad people are now prevented to join this investment.

I think the reason why bitcoin is falling down is there's no more ICO's investor that wants to invest and trust on it because of several Scam and people that believe on bitcoin are gone.

There hasn't been any cogent reason why the price of bitcoin has tanked.
I could remember reading about some  cartel actually manipulating the price of bitcoin by creating unfounded rumours, fomo and then taking advantage of the rumours that are spreading like wild fire to fill their bags .

There is nothing wrong with buying zeros and ones, what exactly are cash notes other than ink and paper. We should go back to trading in gold and silver if you only want to trade in valuable items
