Who can help me? Previously, Bitcoin was cheap, so I set up a password at random. I wanted to sell it, but I found that I had forgotten the password. Who can help me unlock? I can pay him 10BTC
Without knowing part of your password and information of how you create the password (length, whether you use special character, etc.) it's pretty difficult You can use services such as https://walletrecoveryservices.com/, but it's strongly recommended to try to unlock the wallet by yourself. There are plenty of tools which can be used to brute-force wallet such as JohnTheRipperPictures can't be uploaded. Who can tell me how to upload pictures?

More tools could be available in the links from this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1996568.0And just for your safely: 1. Make a copy of wallet.dat and keep it safe 2. Don't give your wallet.dat to others, try to find/fix by yourself 3. Do the operations on a throwaway operating system which you'll run offline (stay online until you set all, then go offline and wipe before going online again). This is because you have no guarantee that all the tools you'll try are clean and safe.

How long is the password? What is combination of it?(for example uppercases+numbers or only lowercases ,...) Please give more details. It must be considered that for what percent of solution probability you want to rent computing power and is it economical?

do you remember - the length of the password - used character set (small, big, numbers, special characters, ...) - a part of the password like prefix or postfix if it is truely random, out of 100 characters, longer than 12 characters, without any additional information you will not be able to recreate it

It should be an 8 or 9 digit password, a number + a letter, my secret The code is almost the same, but I tried a lot and it was all wrong.

Do you usually use a couple of passwords for all the sites you visit? For example you have 3 passwords and you use either one of these everywhere you register or a combination like site name + a number and some word. Are you still using any other services, websites from around 2009 (since that is the year of the shown transactions on the picture) where you can try the password that you use for those sites? Do you have an English keyboard or a non English language preference on your PC/laptop? is it possible that you are mistyping the password because some letters are altered due to your language preferences? For example the Z and Y on some keyboards. Maybe also some of these tips can help you to remember the password you used back when you created the wallet. https://www.wikihow.com/Remember-a-Forgotten-Password

https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover allows you to create a token file, as long as you have a basic idear how your password should look (and it seems you do have a basic idear about this), it should be possible to bruteforce the password within a finite timeframe. If you really have no clue how to setup john the ripper or btcrecover, you can always pay somebody to write a step by step guide (with screenshots) for setting up one of these tools on a clean VPS from a certain VPS service provider, that way you can create a clean VPS with the same provider and follow the step by step guide to setup your own bruteforce server... Good luck!

If you are sure your password is not higher than 9 characters i can try to find it with btcrecover using a GPU rig, but you also need to install btcrecover and give me the info needed to so i can try find your password without sending me wallet.dat I will need that info YmM6.... so i can try find your password. If you need help to install btcrecover i can send you a link on youtube which can help you to install it. More info about extract scripts here https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover/blob/master/docs/Extract_Scripts.mdThe encrypted mkey is useful to btcrecover, but it does not contain any of your Bitcoin address or private key information. btcrecover can attempt to decrypt the mkey by trying different password combinations. Should it succeed, it and whoever runs it will then know the password to your wallet file, but without the rest of your wallet file, the password and the decrypted mkey are of no use

John is using CPU cracking. That's probably not even worth a try.
You should try to crack the password with your GPU (e.g. btcrecover is able to use your GPU).
But without any clue what the password might be AND it being longer than 6-7 chars, your chances are pretty much zero. If you, however, do have a clue what the password might be (this includes information such as length (minimum and maximum length), char set (e.g. only alpha numerical), common patterns (e.g. always 123 at the end), etc..) your chances rise drastically. Even with a longer password.

This is the 3rd 131BTC wallet I'm seeing this week alone to be "missing" ... all from Chinese people... Strangely enough I have the same wallet info but with a different hash. Same screenshot and same Addy's. I believe the "real" wallet has a much higher value/amount of BTC as one infamous site advertise 100BTC bounty if you crack one of their hashes. /KX
