As in its next use?  I keep hearing how it can do so much more then just a payment system.  What and when will we see them?

Commerce! Hoarding needs to end. Until it is used as a currency it will remain a commodity.

When people say this, they are usually referring to the Bitcoin protocol, not the currency (bitcoins with a small b) managed by the network.

Check out Namecoin, FreeSpeechMe, Ethereum, Mastercoin, Open Transactions, and others for how it will be used in the very near future.

Still around.

A standard where hookers and strippers tattoo QR codes above their ass so you don't need to carry cash in stripclubs or outcalls... instead just pay with your phone

bitcoin is all of us, everyone has individual projects, whether its greed to make themselves richer, humanitarian to help true and actual charities like Sean's outpost help people in need, community led, where its helping improve the knowledge of bitcoin to people, blah blah blah

but the real question should be as you are the community too...........................
...... what is YOUR next step?  Grin

Ahhh, you mean white collar crime? I heard Wall St. was coming to Bitcoin town. Corzine, Blankfein, Dimon and the other spivs will demonstrate exactly what "doing god's work means" ... Karpeles was a piker.

They don't call it "filthy lucre" for nothing. Money is what money does.

All I can say to the people who are excited about Wall Street getting involved in Bitcoin is this:

Look very carefully at Germany's attempt to get their gold back from the Federal Reserve.

Don't give Second Market any bitcoins that you ever want to see again.
