Why does Bitcoin seem to always rally in December?

Just a slight uptick in price and it's already declared a rally ....    the stupidity and ignorance of even the most basic understanding of real world economics is so rampant on this forum.

You do know the basic definition of a rally, don't you? This is clearly a mini rally where the entire market had surged along with Bitcoin and almost anyone with a half decent brain understood that much.

The cryptocurrency market news reports also indicated that much. This is the primary reason why many people choose to stay away from this forum due to the negativity spread by people like you on this forum.

It seems that there will be a similar rebound at the end of each year. This is also true in the stock market. There will always be a wave of "Christmas market" on Christmas Eve every year. At the end of the year, there will always be some preparation for next year, so the market may rise.

Every year bitcoin used to have bitcoin rally in the month of nov and dec but this being a year-long bear market we are witnessing a bear market with no much growth

   Bitcoin seem always rally in December , I don't think so the prices is affected through the demand and the supply. In December it is because of the holiday season so many are spending that's why seem the prices is going up..

Are you just judging base on this year price: with the way it went low? Do you also consider high price we experienced in 2017 a rally?
Moreover,  It's not as if people buy it as a holiday gift or so,  because of the way bitcoin went high in 2017, many people are expecting the same to happen again this year which is not right. I guess it's those looking for a make money that also contributed in splashing the price.  

This is indeed unexpected, according to data usually Bitcoin prices always decline at year-end intervals. But now there is a positive change. We are in the right situation to start re-enlivening the market. We will all be part of the revival and later Bitcoin will become a financial system that is recognized by all people in the world.

December Holidays is synonymous with a lot of giving gifts to people thus a lot of exchanging of bitcoin to fiat is usually the order of the day invariably affects the price of btc which is more or less resulted to a drop in the price  until the holiday is over before any noticeable bullish runs currently the price is showing some flashes of bullish run

There is no exact correlation whatsoever between Bitcoin price and any holiday. It's just a coincidence but there are year as far as I can remember that Bitcoin didn't rally at the end of the year. Last year alone, there are speculations that after Chinese New Year, Bitcoin price will go up because Chinese will go back to the market, but it didn't happened. I can only speculate that whales are just manipulating prices and giving false hope that a break out run is really happening every year end. So if you're a noob investors, you might get caught in this trap, so just be careful.

It looked like a rally with prices rising for around a week but it was not sustained so it is therefore categorised as a small correction following a massive dump. The rally is likely to begin after the bakkt next month

This is obviously not true because this December shows totaly different situation. That small price rise that we had after cointinuous price fall can't be called rally. It was just slight positive correction that didn't last for long.
After all this time that I'm dealing with Bitcoin and that is for five years by now I can't say that there is any prooven connection between Bitcoin price and some periods or months in year, there are always different factors that influence the price.

A lot of certain events because of course here is indeed very easily influenced by various kinds of things that happens to the lives of many people in certain places, especially those who have legalized it. But now it looks like it's different, maybe trust has decreasing in bitcoin because so far it can't seem to moving up according to various predictions that say the movement price.

I can't think of any other reasons why but probably that is the most common answer you will get here since Bitcoin is always on a downtrend every Christmas holiday in December. Now, the real question is when would Bitcoin start to push its trend upward so that a bull run would start as soon as possible?

I think it happened yesterday when before Christmas prices went up and people felt it was their Christmas gift. I also got yesterday's profit when the price went up I was very happy for that

A lot of them say in Christmas holidays most them prefer to buy cryptocurrency as they don't want to spend unnecessary so the value of BTC goes up, but it doesn't work upon that. Only if the demand and supply is low the value may go up.

I think it's not exactly holiday gifts it's probably just a coincidence. At the moment, the growth is accompanied by the fact that there was a correction and bitcoin pushes away from the bottom.

i dont know but i think it is like the event, from last year and 2 years ago we can see that the price of bitcoin is always increasing at the end of the year at december, so all people will buy more bitcoina t december

Maybe not for this year. Bitcoin value was increasing at the end of past years, but in this year, bitcoin value still at the bottom now.
We cannot predict cryptocurrency market after all. But rest assure, if peoples keep using bitcoin, the value will not going to zero.

At the moment I am very worried about the price of Bitcoin, very worried if Bitcoin next year will experience a very drastic price decline, because that can happen, because no one can predict the price for now. Hopefully by the beginning of 2019 the price will be green and so on.
