The SEC is a gatekeeper for the wealthy elite and they will base their decision on what is ordered from their masters. Their masters control the financial instruments on the stock markets and they know where to store their wealth, when things are bad.

The masters also know that external manipulation of the Bitcoin price, will take away the control that they have over all "tools" that are used to protect their wealth. They will not allow a financial instrument that they cannot control, so an approval of a Bitcoin ETF would be very doubtful.

I don't think the stock market crashing will make a huge impact on crypto. People will just start buying more bonds, and gold. Cryptocurrency still has a long way to go in order to be adopted, and as a speculative asset, it can be dangerous. People need to focus more on technology and building blockchains that work and can function at a high level instead of rent-seeking.

the money from stocks have to go somewhere. stocks (which is pumped by useless fiat money) and crypto is a different type of asset class.

The stocks going down is not always an indication that bull run is coming. The stocks are down some time now, even if bull run starts how can we say that this is due to stick market crash if it's going on for so long? Both markets are down for a while now.

The next big rally will occur will most likely in 1-5 years and I am expecting Bitcoin to reach a new high through that rally which is why I am confident that the market will recover with time.

Yeah, the OP sounds too optimistic. Well, with your response, you are quite the opposite. You sound too pessimistic. If you consider a pump reaching lesser than $8,000 as a bull trap, I don't agree. May I remind you that we are coming from a little more than $3,000, not $5,000 or $6,000. With Bitcoin reaching $4,000-$5,000, even if slow yet consistent, that is enough sign for me that we are already starting to recover. That will take time of course. There is so much to recover.

I think, right now we don't know how stable the price is. but, if there is a decline, I think it is caused because of a massive sale, or bad news. well, but I hope that doesn't happen.

Well I have the same theory specially when Bakkt postponed its offering for next year. I'm have the idea that they're just laying out the some ground work before finally going live in 2019 and by that time, perhaps the overall sentiments of the market is quite different, but who knows.

What happened back then is people is waiting for the news before pouring their money on the market, However, SEC also delayed their decision next year, causing the bear market to continue up to this point. I can only speculate that if SEC did approved it in the prior months, the price could have been higher that 5 digits before the end of the year.

I do not fully agree, even though the stock has decreased the market price does not mean that it has a significant effect on the crypto market. because in reality there are still many alternative forms of investment that can be chosen. besides that the condition of the crypto market which is also on the decline is one of the heavy considerations of investors to secure their assets in bitcoin. despite the fact that today the price of bitcoin is able to rise again, I think that is entirely due to what happened to the stock, but there are other fundamental factors.

Gold and other physical assets would still be the top logical option if ever these conditions occur. What happens in the stock market can very well happen in crypto and even worse. That's why investors would be a little wary and that's why i'm not counting on any massive bull runs anytime soon.
