You cannot consider crypto as a passive income due to its high volatility. Even if you get some extra tokens "for free" , the price can decrease more than you can earn from these additional tokens you receive. It's very important to take care what are the projects you invest in.

Well this year lots of investors will invest even though its too risky, they want to have passive income so they can recover what they loss in the big dump last year. I say in crypto even though the volatility is high you can consider it as a passive income (For my perspective).

There were some movements in passive income coins, but more coins without dividend achieved even better gains during this market uprise.
BNB is one example, Enjin, ABBA.
NEO or KCS gained less than 30%.

NEO or KCS gained less than 30%.
People are really favour dividend coin since they got the real money unlike any other altcoin that promises only word it seems. BNB is quite interesting ones but unfortunately I fail to grab some before the prices just become ridiculously high. |

I think that most projects that offer passive income are very risky. I try not to buy coins that promise a large passive income. This adversely affects the price of the coin in the future.

And that could be considered as stupid platforms, these STO just another money grabber that created nothing. It's not suitable to be called as STO if the platforms can't even distribute dividends to the stock holders. that's so bad for me personally. |

There are so many coins and token that offers it,
There are PoS coin and also some coin that offer some profit shares for their holders,
But to be honest I didn't really made some money through PoS most of the PoS coin that I bought have been dump .

If we are still in a downward trend, I think it will be difficult to earn passive income despite having many good projects and promising lots but the success rate is still very low.

So far it looks very challenging as crypto currencies are facing a toughest phase in the entire career of block chain technology. Well for me I don't think there is no passive income till now. Unless the prices of cryptos pump maximum projects will not be launched. Only new projects can give us some boost for a good income.

Its been happening now since the NEO was created but there are several projects that was also doing great such as EOSBET that is also distributing dividends. Interestingly, EOSBET is distributing dividends everyday. On the other hand there are also projects that promises dividends back 2 years ago and now are gone like ETHbits and TAAS which I think are not distributing dividends nowadays.

I think that at the moment, with the strong volatility of all cryptocurrencies, for successful traders or investors, there are enough existing earnings opportunities. Why should I keep some kind of coin for the sake of passive income even at 100% per annum, if I can earn these interest in a month or two by successfully investing in one of the ICO?

It will take little time but I am sure it will be high again, better is to wait and for making money by participating consecutively as an investor and as trader, crypto currency is made for money making so putting doubt on it s abilities is not fair, I would suggest you to wait and see what happen I can say price will rise very soon certainly, 2019 will be great year. |

providing passive income is one of the good strategies to attract investors and not only its function because with passive income, investors will be encouraged to hold the coins they have and the impact is that the coins have a lower risk of experiencing a dump because they have a lot holders, so I believe and like ICOs or projects that implement such systems because the coins they create are lacking in having a strong price foundation

Bitconnect also benefited the owners on time. But at the end they ruined the project and disappeared. There is a project called MNX and they make such a profit, but their prices have decreased from 20 USD to 4 USD in a short time last year. I understand that such projects do not last long. |
